I've been borrowing my buddies Westinghouse IGen 4500 for several weeks now and I have been extremely impressed with this generator. I recently bought my own, my family and I like to camp off grid in our rv as much as possible throughout the year. This generator has been able to keep my air conditioner, all my appliances, plugs, lights, tv, and some other equipment running at one time during the summer and does everything I need it to do in the winter aswell. It's very quiet so you can have it running at night while everyone is sleeping without bugging or waking anyone. It shipped to me in perfect condition and required very little work to get the generator started and running. I give the westinghouse IGen4500 5 stars because it deserves it.

I got this a few weeks ago and it was simple to set up and had it running and making electricity in 15 minutes or so. Runs quietly, just as I had hoped and has nice display to show how much fuel is left as well as how much power it is generating. Really like that it has an eco mode so that it only makes as much power as needed. Idles a lot (quiet) to do what I need. Very happy so far.

I purchased this product in anticipation of upcoming power outages. Since I live in the gulf coast area its not if but when and for how long. I have found myself unprepared to many times in the past and would like to have basic power for essentials in the future.

Bought it for an ice storm but didn't have to use it but back in 2012 we had a tornado in our town my boss had a generator like this that I used liked it so much that I decided I would buy one like it when I was ready to purchase one a great machine great fuel economy and great to have for emergency power

I bought this 2-19-21 ,put oil in in it and gas hooked up battery and it stared right up, ran it for one hour and change the oil it was a little hard to get to the oil drain plug,the manual says it has a automatic rotating data number display but it has a push button which I like better, it surges a little bit but does not change volt on the display called Westinghouse waiting to hear back from them about the surge and display. so far i like it.

I would rate this unit higher if it had a built in hour meter for run time and if t was capable of powering a 220 volt appliance. I was under the impression that it had the hour meter but perhaps I thought so from looking at another comparable unit. Despite the conditions listed it is an excellent unit that is straight forward to get going in an emergency which is the primary use. Plenty of power for running an electric chainsaw and for me light enough for the label of portable.

I purchased this Igen 2500 recently, after adding oil and fuel started up on third pull, runs quieter than my old Honda 1800ex. Much more fuel efficient also. It has a slight uneven idle when is on economy mode without load. Runs perfect on normal. The only other issue was a sticky fuel level float, that needed a little push to get free. Overall is great portable power for not a lot of money.

I bought this 2 weeks ago after a 24-hour power outage. It will supply us enough power to stay warm and keep our refrig running for as long as we need, and is quiet enough to not bother the neighbors. I like the remote start/stop, and built-in handle to move it. If it lasts I will be immensely satisfied!

Bought unit in october 2020. Initial setup was straight forward and generator performed as described. I have maintained it as required, started to keep battery charged etc... Went out today, and it appears as though battery is dead, and I had to choke it to get it to start manually. Started on second pull. Charging battery overnight to see what happens. One would think the battery would last longer than 6 months.

Purchased this because of living along the coast in SC. Had several power outages each of the last 3 years due to storms. Figured I would protect myself next time. Generator came within 4 days. Easy set up. Filled with supplied oil. Fueled up and connected the battery. Turned on the battery switch and fuel knob. Used the start button on the unit and it fired right up once it got gas. Shut off and started with the remote. Again it fired right up. This thing is very quiet with no load. I'm sure once there is a load it will be a little louder but can't be much. Very pleased so far. Will be ready for the next power outage.
