When I first started it up it sputtered and kept stalling. I thought it was the infamous choke cable, but when I checked it was fine. Then I noticed there was a lot of gas leaking on the ground. Turns out there is a carburetor drain. Once I closed that it purred like a kitten.

I bought the IG4500 for an RV Travel Trailer with a 15000BTU air conditioner. It works FLAWLESS. It is he perfect size generator to run all my equipment and the Air Conditioner. We literally sit in the RV and push the remote to start and stop the generator. Couldn't be easier. The remote is a must. So far the unit has preformed without issue. Back to the RV!

I have been looking at a variety of different generators to power my new 5th wheel. This isn't something I will use very often - maybe 2 or 3 times a year when boon-docking. I have had generators in the past and seldom used them do to noise levels and weight, so both were important considerations for me. I wanted something that I could carry on the back of my 5th wheel when needed (easy to load and unload) and be able to setup 50 feet away and not know it is running. While I haven't had much time to run the new Westinghouse iGen 4500, I have to say I am impressed so far. Unboxing and setup was very straightforward. Added gas and oil, connected the battery and fired it up. I started small with the load - first a light, then a power tool until I got it up to what I thought was operating temperature. Then the big test - connected the 5th wheel in order to try the main 15k AC unit. I should note that I installed an internal EMS power protection unit on the 5th wheel and got an error code as soon as I connected the generator. Being very familiar with electricity and electronics, I immediately knew what the problem was - floating neutral. I was disappointed that the instruction manual doesn't address this. After tying the neutral to ground (search YouTube for directions), the 5th wheel came to life. I ran the generator through a number of different power scenarios and it handled all of them very well. Noise levels were very acceptable in my opinion. I didn't find the suitcase handle to be very user friendly. For me, it is easier to pick it up by the two handles and load it on a custom rack on the back of my 5th wheel. Overall, I am very impressed with this generator. Only time will tell for durability and dependability.

A severe thunderstorm blew through our town and this is the second time that we've had to use the generator. But this time we've had to run on it for several days. Downed power lines and trees, and damaged transformers. It's really economical on fuel, and super quiet. I mounted it on the front of the camper and bolted it to the A-frame deck. I unspooled the camper electric cord and plugged it into the 30amp outlet and was good to go.

Recently purchased to use on RV. Remote start and dual fuel options were some of the reasons I bought this unit. Eco feature and light weight were also a plus. Propane regulator, oil, funnel, tool kit were included. All that was needed was fuel. Very pleased with purchase so far!!!

Recieved the Igen4500, put oil in it connected the battery, put gas in it and it's turned over with no issues. Took a little bit for gas to get through the system. Once it did it fired right up. Tested the remote for it and it worked perfectly. Purchased this to power the camper when I cant get a electric site and this should work fine. Only reason I did four stars is the fact that I haven't had a chance to fully test it. It runs about as quiet as my families yamaha quiet generator.

I bought this for our camper. It powers everything on it. I did however had to connect the electric choke wire to the module. After that, it started & ran perfectly. It is quiet & powerful, and I feel it is a great value for the price. LOVE THE REMOTE START!!!!

I bought a second i gen 4500 to hook up for parallel power to get 50 amp. I still have to stage turning on 2 ac units despite the 50 amp paralleled power. It runs a bit rougher than the first one. Trips the breaker evey once in a while. I will take it to the service center and see what happens. The biggest issue is having to change the oil every 50 hours. That is not convenient to do while camping. The access panel needs to be bigger to allow for an easier change of oil.

Had to return the first one that I got, didn't run right. So far, this one is perfect. After doing the oil, battery and gas as instructed, it started right up on the first press of the remote. Runs very smooth and quiet, also the 30 Amp plug is right-side up with the ground on top the way its supposed to be. I was worried at first because the shipping box was a little beat-up but there was no damage to the generator. I connected it to my house six circuit transfer switch and it ran everything without any problems. I'm very happy with it.

We received delivery of our generator today. We watched videos prior to purchase and yes...we read the manual too. The generator started up after two attempts oon the electric start. After that it started with just one push. We carried on a conversation standing next to the generator without having to raise our voices. Decibels was a main consideration in purchasing this generator. We plan to use to power our 5th wheel camper. We have one A/C unit. My wife and I are able to lift it as well. That was another consideration over other heavier models. Nice panel display.
