Fabulous Camper Generator

It's for out camper, which keeps everything running like a beast, but we also used it to run our house's lower level for two days during a power outage. We ran dozens of lights, plug-in heaters, large appliances, televisions, and the internet. It was billions decibels quieter than our other generator. I'm sure our neighbors with power on the adjacent street approve of the quieter-running generator this go around :)

Data panel malfunctioning

Data panel malfunctioning. No fuel quantity or time remaining info. Just purchased for 4th of July outing. Started right up and ran 15 hours. Power output seems a bit low as I can't pull all equipment off generator that I can on 30 amp shore power service. Customer service seems responsive so far, so I will update this after I get warranty service, though it is frustrating to reload this new (heavy) gen back in the car and drive it 100 miles to a service center. Also quite irritating that the cover is no longer a bonus item though it is still sold on Westinghouse website. The literature in the box still says a cover is a bonus option for reviewing your purchase. Who wants a powerstrip? Not a great idea to disappoint a customer about to write a review....

Ease of Start, quiet, cold weather starting

Bought unit in october 2020. Initial setup was straight forward and generator performed as described. I have maintained it as required, started to keep battery charged etc... Went out today, and it appears as though battery is dead, and I had to choke it to get it to start manually. Started on second pull. Charging battery overnight to see what happens. One would think the battery would last longer than 6 months.

Excellent generator - value for money

I bought this a week ago to use during emergency situation to ensure operating my key essential devices like sump pump, freezer, fridge, charging mobile phone and wi fi. So i bought this IGen 4500 to have relatively smaller generator, with reasonable weight easy start Manual are very clear , steps of operation are explained simply in several language The generator itself has relatively low sound compared to other generators available in the market You can start the generator through three ways, pull , button or remote control The generator comes with engine oil yet of course you need to buy the gasoline and gasoline stabilizer. Very high quality and operate for 18 hours with one tank fill … highly recommended if u need a reliable generator for emergency situation

iGen 4500 easy to setup and quiet!

Excellent product. Followed easy quick startup directions and it started up and ran for an hour without issue. Powered down and restarted again without issue. Extremely quite. Looks like a good investment. Will use with a transfer switch set-up to power all essential items in my enitre 2600 sq ft. condo as long as I leave the air conditioning off.

Gets the job done

I purchased about 1 month ago, so I can't speak for it's reliability. To start the first time, you need to put in the oil and install the battery (both included), and fuel it up. Mine has the electric start and it started right up. It is pretty quiet. I like the controls give you alot of information about what is going on.

Upgrade

Upgrading from two westinghouse 2200's. Hopefully this 4500 will provide longer run time with the camper. Easy setup(careful filling the oil up for the first time, it will not take 0.6L and make a mess.) . Fires right up and quiet. A slight variation in RPM at idle speed. Maybe this is normal. The operation panel is easy to use. Should be a great generator.

Amazing Price Point!

I've been looking for "just the right generator" for some time. I recently purchased a travel trailer and knew that I'd need a generator. When they told me the price of this one and it had the Westinghouse brand I didn't think about it twice, I brought it and took it home. There are several brands out there to choose from, but this one is really quiet, easy to start, and moves very easy even when it's full of gas.

Powerful and noiseless

I recently used my new "Digital Inverter Generator iGen5000DFcv" during Hurricane Beryl, and it worked very well. It is quiet, easy to operate, easy to transport, and start. It has enough capacity for my family's needs during those unexpected moments caused by nature. Excellent product. I recommend it.

Excellent Value

I have had less than a month but so far it is good. I tested it will a steady 3kw load from heaters and no problem. Engine ran nice and smooth. It is nice a quiet and only get slightly louder with load. Sorry, I have not been around another brand to compare it to. I will primarily use it on my camper. It started my 12k btu window unit (not in efficiency mode),and also ran the microwave, and battery charger with ease, combined load of only 2.2kw. For me the led readout, and the tanks size are the stand out features of this product. The display will tell you tons of info, and the tank size is big enough you can run all night and not have to rush out 1st thing in the morning to refuel. It runs nice and smooth, refueling while running is easy but not recommended by manufacturer (safety I assume). I also like the suitcase style handle and wheels. I think I could prop the handle on the truck tailgate and then pick up the other end of the generator and actually load this in the truck by myself.
