I have owned other generators that worked fine for their intended use. They did not have remote start and one was extremely loud. I have purchased a larger fifth wheel RV & needed a inverter generator that has sufficient wattage to run the air conditioner and other electrical appliances. Two of my friends have the Westinghouse iGen 5000C inverter generators, which are quiet and able to supply the required wattage to run everything in their trailers. These features plus the remote start, the reliability of these inverter generators and Westinghouse quality convinced me to make this purchase with confidence that I made the correct choice.

After researching many models of inverter generators the Westinghouse Duel Fuel Generator fit the bill. There was a minor issue with the rubber strap that secures the battery. Generator runs fairly quiet. It is heavy but the wheels & handle make it manageable to move. I have not installed the propane connection yet but that was another plus for my purchasing the Westinghouse.

Great generator, runs quiet compared to others and is simple to set up and operate. The only complaint I have is that the unit is shipped with the battery unplugged but the instructions don't inform you of that fact. Once I figured it out the unit operated as expected.

I'm not sure what I I expected this was my first generator but I can't imagine anything better! The remote start stop is worth its weight in gold it's started the gen every time I push the button. I've only started it with the remote now that I think about it. Directions for break in was simple and easy to understand. The digital display is pretty nice my kids love the extra LED button that lights up the surrounding area. But anyways I love it I'm definitely impressed

I bought this in November. My daughter has one and loves it. I love that it's dual Fuel and you can charge various accessories. It's heavier than I anticipated but nothing I can't handle. I bought it for emergency outages. I've been researching generators for several years now and loved everything about this iGen.

I bought this in September of 2024 after a major extended power outage in Duncan SC. The setup was easy and took about 10. Fortunately, I haven't had a reason to use it since I purchased it other than a 30-minute break in period which went flawlessly. I feel confident that we are ready if we experience an extended power outage in the future. Definitely worth the peace of mind moving forward.

We have been in the market a while for a quiet inverter generator that can run all the systems in our RV. We had sticker shock at the Honda generators and other males and stumbled on the Westinghouse item 4500. Good reviews lots of power for a fraction of the cost. We decided to try and are very pleased with the product. Comes fully assembled even the battery many makes don't do that. Took 5 minutes to fill oil, supplied with a funnel and fuel. Started right up and I'm amazed how quiet, walked 15 feet away and couldnt hear it. This was a no brainer. One other thing for my fellow Californians, one of the few CARB compliant generators.

I did a lot of on line research and for output vs noise this appeared to be the best. However none of the national chains carried it. Was able to get it through Power Equipment Direct. In reviews I saw a lot of comments about no indication of needing to connect the battery first. They listened and it now has a tag indicating that. Eco mode definitely reduces the decibels however have yet to test it under load.

Westinghouse was so anxious to get a review that they automatically triggered this review at the end of the Warranty Registration process. I have not put oil or gas in it yet. I'm currently reading the owner's manual. I do like the large carrying handles the transport wheels and the extendable handle. At approximately 100 lbs we can carry it easily where the wheels won't roll.

I bought this in Sept 2020 and had my 1st TCI failed at 150 run hours, the 2nd TCI failed after 220 hrs, the 3rd TCI failed after 3 hours and the 4th TCI now had 24 hours. I have such confidence in this unit I have purchased 4 additional TCI Modules to keep on hand if it fails again at 2am in 34F weather I won't freeze until sunrise.
