Ideal Back up power for our bus

We live full-time in a school bus conversion with a solar setup, but you always have to have a backup plan. This generator is awesome! I love that it can run on gas or propane if we’re in a pinch, and it’s super user friendly and seems well made. Portable and sturdy, it will have our backs for this adventure!

Great value for the price

I Bought this Generator for backup power in case of a power outage. I haven't needed it yet but tied it in to my transfer box at home and simulated a power fail a couple of times now. I was quite happy with the performance of this gen. I powered a water well pump, Sewer pump, Electric hot water heater microwave, and a couple of the circuits. I did not max out the suggested amperage limit but got close. The gen only throttled up when the Hot water heater or the well pump kicked on, but settled down immediately. I would recommend this generator to anyone seeking one for the same reason.

WOW

Bought to run my Travel trailer, and for power outages in Hurricane prone Louisiana. Absolutely blown away. Easy set up. Initial start up took three pulls to start up the engine, after that one pull to start. Only hooked up to my Travel Trailer so far and it worked perfectly. Turn on the A/C, Lights, and microwave and it didn’t even miss a beat. Extremely pleased.

So Far, So Good!

We did extensive research to decide which generator would be the best fit for us. Please understand we have not had to use the generator as a substitute for power yet. With that in mind, we purchased this for the most bang for our buck and agree with other reviewers to check for damage as ours arrived damaged from shipping…it could be a combination of manufacturer needing to improve the packing (since it’s a known issue) and the shipping companies handling them better. Looking forward to actually seeing how well it does for what it’s made to do!

Literally Life saver

I purchased this generator in a clutch after I was devastated by the tornado recently. The ability to use both propane and gasoline was more helpful than I could’ve ever imagined, especially after so many gas stations were out of gas or just didn’t have the power to run the pumps. this generator ran all of my essentials and then some, keeping me and my family as comfortable as possible, given the circumstances. it was easy to install and easy to use, not to mention that it was Affordable. I was excited that it came with the initial oil, funnel and tools. to avoid purchasing anything extra and the super simple manuals and maintenance requirements that were put in layman‘s terms and very simple to understand was appreciated. a small compact design that I will have no problem storing. I feel ecstatic to own one even if it only came after devastation. It’s going to very good use, and I can think of 1000 ways in which after the storm I could continue to use this generator.

Great Options

Love all the options with this Generator. Multiple plug types and optional fuel is great for our camper. We don't dry camp often but power was an issue one time when we almost ran out of gas. We left a day early to prevent this and having this unit could have got us enough time. One feature I wish these or any other generator had is a tube that routes draining the oil as it is always a mess. No matter how you try to prevent it, oil just seems to get on something and makes a mess but placement of the drain or a tube that routes to an open space would definitely help and be a big feature for someone to make the purchase.

WGen5300DFcv Great Initial Impression

I Just bought it. It was quick and easy to attached the wheels and legs (10mm wrench provided). The pre-measured motor oil installed nicely by slowly pouring the entire bottle down the provided screw in funnel (well worth saving for future oil changes). I did need a 3/4 or 19mm wrench to connect the flair fitting propane line to generator. Do not over tighten! Just tight enough to seal not come loose while running. Followed starting instructions on generator. About 8 to 10 easy gentle pulls brought it to life on propane for the first time. No need to jerk it like a mad man or pull it all the way to the end of the cord. A petite woman or fair size teen should be able to start it. Once warm it started easily on first pull with choke on (at least for propane). Came with 10mm/13mn open end wrench, spark plug wrench and nicely bound manual that included routine maintenance procedures. To check oil level, the manual says to "Clean the oil dip stick and re-seat it inside the oil fill hole. Do not thread the dipstick." I thought most oil dip sticks should be fully inserted/screwed in to check oil level correctly. In any case, with the provided pre-measured oil installed oil covered about 1/3 of the cross hatched operating range without screwing it in and about 3/4 of it when fully screwing in dip stick. Sound level is very reasonable and obviously not silent. I plugged my RV into it and turned on my achient 11000 BTU roof top AC. It seemed power it quite easily and with less effort than my gas powered Troy-Bilt 5000 watt conventional generator.

Just what I needed.

I purchased this generator in apprehension because I thought it may be too loud to use as a generator to power my RV during dry camping. To my surprise it was perfect. It definitely isn’t as loud as other generators I have used and it is powerful enough to run two RV air conditioners at the same time. Great product.

Lovin' My Generator

Easy to set up and use.

I very much appreciated the labeling and instructions that came with my generator. I found the info/tags easy to follow. Assembling the wheels/legs was a snap. Plus, I was able to quickly fill the unit with oil and gas and it was running in no time. I even ran it on propane and got a "charge" out of doing that. Great product with a well thought out documentation packet! BTW, the generator package looks great and is smartly designed with controls, etc. right where can see and/or access them. I like the on-board volt meter- a real hot item for my engineering side. Plus, the "pop up" handle is slick. Now, I am ready to use it during my next project or power outage- and my wife will be happy since she will have power at home. When the "wifey" is happy, everybody is happy.

Well Made Portable Generator

Bought the 5300 watt dual fuel model a month ago and finally got to test it out. Assembly was straight forward. All tools needed for assembly were provided. 10w30 oil was provided; just the right amount. Very thoughtful that they provided a funnel to pour the oil. Following the instructions provided, I connected my propane tank to it. While most of the instructions were good, I wished there were more pictures to supplement the instructions. After starting the generator with about 4 pulls, it started. We plugged in a hair dryer to the 120V but it did not come on. Then I realized the generator was set to 240V. Once, I flipped it to 120V, the hair dryer came on as expected. Now, I wished the generator came set to 120V instead of 240V. Also, I wished the warning to turn off the generator before switching between 240V to 120V was shown earlier in the instructions. Overall, a decent dual fuel generator.
