Bought this generator when some severe storms recently knocked out our power for 2+ days in SE Michigan. Love the dual fuel option and opted to run this generator on propane. Each 20lb cylinder of propane lasted about 11-12 hours. Did not use the supplied oil... we used Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic oil. This generator started easy and ran everything we asked it to until power returned. Will be adding a 30 amp power inlet to the house so that we won't need extension cords if the power goes out again.

We purchased this generator to upgrade to a larger generator than our current 3.5KW before hurricane season peaked. It was very easy to setup out of the box and cranked on the second pull. We haven't had the need to run it for any extended time yet but confident it will do a good job

We did extensive research to decide which generator would be the best fit for us. Please understand we have not had to use the generator as a substitute for power yet. With that in mind, we purchased this for the most bang for our buck and agree with other reviewers to check for damage as ours arrived damaged from shipping…it could be a combination of manufacturer needing to improve the packing (since it’s a known issue) and the shipping companies handling them better. Looking forward to actually seeing how well it does for what it’s made to do!

We ordered our generator on the 23rd of June this year and received it on the 28th. On July 5th it was called into service; We hadn't even put the oil in it! But we got it set up, got the extension cords out, and it worked like a champ for the full 4 hours that we needed it. We have a 5300, which is adequate for my wife and I to keep the fridge, TV, wi-fi router, and a few lamps going. If we need it in the morning, we can get the coffee maker plugged in as well.

Bought this generator a year ago in preparation for the next major storm. Generator sat in its box in the shed for a year until Hurricane Helene hit us the other day. Broke out the generator, added the oil that came with it, hooked up the propane, and it fired right up with no issues whatsoever. My WGen5300DFv worked straight out of the box after sitting for a year. I am happy to say I am truly blessed at the performance and power of this model. I was running 2 floor fans, light, 2 refrigerators, and my deep freezer with ZERO ISSUES or Concerns. THANK YOU Westinghouse for an outstanding product. You bailed me out when needed and as I stated before I am truly thankful.

We just bought it 3 days ago because our electricity was out so it had a run for its money, we used it to power our 3 bedroom house, we let it run for about 5 hour increments, let rest for about 2 hours, we used a propane tank on it, the tank lasted at least 12 hours, it works great we love it, were very happy with our purchase. thank you making a wonderful product

We bought this after Hurricane Helene barreled through our little town leaving destruction behind. Generators were hard to come by and we found this one out of town. It powered our freezer, fridge, lamps and other small appliances that we needed to get by until power was restored a week later.

My sister in law was planning to get one and I ask her to get me one. After hurricane Beryl went through Katy TX, we were out of power for 5 days. I'm so glad this portable generator runs on both gasoline and propane. When our local shell gas station ran out of gas, i was able to use our propane tanks for a day and a half until we got a chance to fill up our gas tanks!

I love that I can use gasoline or propane to fuel my generator. It is also very easy to move around with its handle and never flat tires. I also like the cool look it has. It starts easily and i feel great knowing back up power is always ready for an emergency.

We needed a generator quickly and managed to snag this one after searching multiple stores. It works extremely well and sets up easily. We love that it has multiple fuel options. What a relief to be able to buy propane or use the one off the grill if it needs to be used unexpectedly. We are using this for our home so just keeping multiple fridges and some appliances plugged in.
