We recently purchased a Westinghouse 5300 and it performed perfectly during power outages here in So. Cal. But, we needed more coverage to complete our disaster preparedness plan so we bought a second 5300 generator to really give our family the protection and peace of mind. This one's Dual Fuel - so Propane and Gas and that for sure gives us additional options. Feature packed and simple to use - great small generators.

The Westinghouse dual fuel generator we bought works great. It was easy to get it up and running. Very minor assembly (basically putting the wheels and rubber boots on the frame) and adding the engine oil was very easy since Westinghouse provides everything you need to do it, even a funnel with a hose for the oil. The instructions for setting it up and putting it into operations are simple and easy to understand. Works great on both gas and propane, easy to switch between the two. No problem to operate for my wife or me.

I've had this generator for over a year and have used it many times. It starts easily and ran all day on 1 tank. It saved our food on a 2 day power outage (ran lights and 2 refrigerators) and is now being used daily to run tools in an area that has no electricity. Highly recommend!

So right out of the box I have a gas fuel leak coming from the gas shut off valve. I'm not upset, but hope other owners will inspect their units before using full time. If left unattended this leak could have caused a fire. I'll be reaching out to the manufacturer for a replacement. On a more positive note. The generator fired up first pull with no issues and ran for a while until I found the leak.

I bought this in anticipation of hurricanes SW Florida. Did not open the box until September 2024. Hurricane Helene was on its way. Following instructions were easy. Started as stated. Plugged into house and was able to run essential things, 2 refrigerators w freezers, ceiling fans and lights. Very pleased.

I haven't yet used the unit but am so far very happy with the purchase. The value for money is strong compared to other brands. I am very happy with the features, build quality and documentation provided. It took me less than 15 minutes to assemble and my unit started up on the first pull.

We’ve used this generator a couple of times now and it runs great. I was most impressed with how easy the pull start is! The very first time we started it, we added the gas and oil and expected it to take a few pulls to get going. Nope! It started on the first pull - easy as pie. Nice to have a generator that I can start by myself.

Just bought this unit for those unexpected outages due to storms in the spring. Set it up and had it running in less than 20 minutes. Started on the 1st pull. Plugged in some tools to make sure it worked and it didn’t phase it. Ran like a champ.

I recently purchased the Westinghouse 5300 Generator, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This generator has become an indispensable addition to my household, providing reliable power during outages and serving as a trustworthy companion for outdoor adventures. The first thing that struck me about the Westinghouse 5300 is its robust build quality. It feels solid and durable, reassuring me that it can withstand various weather conditions and rigorous use. The compact design and sturdy wheels make it easy to transport and maneuver, which is a huge plus for those who may need to move it around frequently. Setting up the generator was a breeze, thanks to the clear and concise instructions provided in the user manual. Within minutes, I had it up and running, and I was impressed by how quietly it operated. This is a significant advantage, especially when using it in residential areas or during camping trips where noise levels can be a concern. One of the standout features of the Westinghouse 5300 is its impressive power output. It easily handled all my essential appliances during a recent power outage, including the refrigerator, lights, and even a window air conditioner. The generator's peak wattage capacity is more than sufficient to meet the demands of most households, making it a reliable backup power source. Additionally, the fuel efficiency of the Westinghouse 5300 is commendable. I found that it consumed fuel at a reasonable rate, allowing me to run it for extended periods without constantly refueling. The sizable fuel tank provides a decent runtime, which is especially comforting during longer power outages. The inclusion of multiple outlets, including both 120V and 240V options, offers versatility in connecting various devices and appliances. This is a thoughtful feature that adds to the overall convenience and functionality of the generator. In terms of safety, the Westinghouse 5300 comes equipped with essential features like low-oil shutdown and overload protection, providing an added layer of security for both the generator and connected devices. In conclusion, the Westinghouse 5300 Generator has proven itself to be a reliable and powerful companion for any situation that requires a dependable power source. Its impressive performance, ease of use, and solid build quality make it a standout product in its class. I wholeheartedly recommend the Westinghouse 5300 to anyone in need of a trustworthy generator for both emergency backup and recreational use.

Purrs like you want it to. My 1st generator, I plan to use for emergency use if/when hurricane takes out the power again - so a dual fuel made the most sense. I'll be ok avoiding the lines at the gas pumps when they run out. Little finicky getting the perfect start with propane. Pressure drops and safety regulator kicks on so had to hook / unhook line to clear pressure and took a good amount of should pulls to get it. Might be me - since it's my 1st generator. Buit once I got running it sounds great! Thankfully haven't needed in an emergency situation yet but now have confidence of having power if it happens.
