I purchased the WG5300DFv model and the instructions were very well done and easy to follow for the setup. I put gas in it and also connected propane, followed the starting instructions, and it fired right up on gas and then I switched to propane and all ran very well. I am excited about using my generator at our house and camp for backup power.

I bought this generator for my travel trailer. I love how small this generator is compared to other brands, and even better the price point. Out of the box it was packaged well, has a mat finish which is amazing. This generator has performed well for me under small loads but have not have the chance to run larger loads on it but looking forward to putting this generator to use this camping season.

Haven’t used this yet, but we bought it because we borrowed a Westinghouse 5300 just like it to get us through a power failure, and it worked really well. Ran two fridges, fans, TV & lights and still had power to spare. Easy to start and it ran 9 hours on a 20 lb. tank of propane. I highly recommend this machine.

generator suits storm needs very well. the duel fuel feature is a great asset and easy to use. the co shut off is a great peace of mind. the running wattage is perfect for a temporary power station in the case of a storm outage and the wheels work great for portability.

With all the hurricanes and uncertainty going on, I decided to buy a generator for personal use in case of a power outage. Wow! This generator has everything you need to power various electronics and appliances through an emergency. I have only ran the generator for about 2 hours to get started on the initial break in of the unit however I must say that set up and assembly of the wheels and stand was simple and straightforward. The unit cranked very easily and all the instructions were very clear. I hope that I don't have to use it however I am confident that if it is needed that it while provide more than sufficient power to run our 30' travel trailer with ease.

This generator was easy to setup and provides the options of propane or gasoline, we have only used it with gasoline so far. It is a little loud and seems to consumer about or over 1 gallon an hour under heavy load. I wish it was a little quieter and used less fuel like our old one. But this one works and does the job for the cost, it was more affordable than the old one and will work great as a back, as intended.

The Westinghouse WGen5300DFCV is incredibly well made. Its solid design and quality craftsmanship makes this a great choice for whatever your needs may be. We recently had a major hurricane come through our area and lost our power. The instructions were easy to follow and the generator ran well. I would recommend this purchase to anyone.

We have had this unit 2 years. It has been used maybe 10 times. After the first time using the unit it would no longer work with Propane. We have used it with gas, however, ee got it out to prepare for a hurricane and it starts, but will not continue to run.

I cannot provide a full review yet. The unit was damaged in shipping. The air box and choke lever were broken. I contacted Westinghouse and their support team were helping to fix the situation from minute one. I had to send in pics of the damage and the machines info and the replacement parts were being shipped to me. we bought 2 units and the other was just fine. The unit is smaller than other brands of the same and looks to be built very well. I cannot run it at this time so i cannot comment on that. I have watched and read many reviews on this same unit and was sold on this unit because of them. My only negative rating so far would be the packaging could be better. A lot of the reviews that I read also had suffered some kind of damage in shipping.. I believed its a chance worth taking. Service is hands down great, I hope there generator is the same. I will try to provide a full review once the unit is ready.
