Bought about a month ago and this was a replacement to the first one sent due to a gas line leak. Like the dual fuel option and that it came with the frame/wheel kit. Started right up once all set up. Hopeful this will serve the purpose for outages this winter. Also should be receiving free cover which will be nice too.

I had been putting off buying a generator for over a year because I thought they would be hard to start up and difficult to figure out how to hook up equipment. The Westinghouse Gen5300DFV washed all those fears away within the first few minutes. The instructions were easy to follow and starting up with propane was a breeze. I love the option to run on propane or fuel and starting was super easy on both. This will be a great generator for any emergency use!

I bought this for a huge rally / camping event. I was amazed at the ease of set up to first start. The directions make it easy to understand and literally brakes down maintenance how and when. The best part is at the event our generator was one of the quietest there. It was sitting next to a neighbors and you almost could not tell it was on. The fuel lasted throughout the night running a very large portable air conditioner. Yes I took an air conditioner camping. Movability was easy and over all super amazed with this product. A few of our camping buddies said they were going to get one themselves and one actually did the day after going home. Highly recommend.

Bought this generator a year ago in preparation for the next major storm. Generator sat in its box in the shed for a year until Hurricane Helene hit us the other day. Broke out the generator, added the oil that came with it, hooked up the propane, and it fired right up with no issues whatsoever. My WGen5300DFv worked straight out of the box after sitting for a year. I am happy to say I am truly blessed at the performance and power of this model. I was running 2 floor fans, light, 2 refrigerators, and my deep freezer with ZERO ISSUES or Concerns. THANK YOU Westinghouse for an outstanding product. You bailed me out when needed and as I stated before I am truly thankful.

Just purchase it. Well built machine that looks like it will last. The dual fuel is great because you can keep propane forever, and not have to worry about gasoline turning bad or gumming up the engine. Removes the need to drain the gas when storing it. The noise level is about the same as a lawnmower and shouldn't be a problem during emergencies. Overall great generator.

Just purchased the dual fuel generator. I've had a generator backup for my home since 2007. I figured it was time to retire the old one. Found this dual fuel for a good price and had to get it. Now I have the option to run either gas or propane. No more worries about the fuel gelling I always have propane around and if I run out can use gas. Hope I never have to use it for an emergency yet feel safe with it being ready.

I am impressed with the thought put into the packaging, the components, and the instructions. Everything you need; tools to assemble, pre-measured oil to fill the crank case, funnel, and tube so you don't make a mess. Assemble took less than 5 minutes, and engine started on the first try.

So far we are happy with this product. I very much like its design. However I was concerned that the oil container that came with the generator has conflicting measurement on it. One side says one thing and the other says something different, hopefully it will be ok.

High quality and well built machine. It looks like a professional rig and has a lot of great options for many different uses. I mainly bought it for backup power but according to the ratings on this unit will power a whole rv. I hope to be using this generator for a long time. The propane option is another reason that I bought it. The dual fuel option adds a lot of diversity in usage.

Overall a solid running and well build generator with multiple connection types and options. Purchased in an era of power company shenanigans and unexpected blackouts this generator will be a saving grace. In addition to backing up household power it will be used for mobile production support and lighting events. The dual fuel ability is greatly valued as the price of gasoline tends to fluctuate with the season and economy. Plus having propane as an option will be useful for travelling and camping. Have not tested with propane yet. As for noise level it not too bad running around 68-70 Db on gasoline which is reasonable for urban and isolated uses. Hoping for a quieter runs propane. Not sure if this generator is compliant for RV park and BLM land usable due to the noise. Multiple connections options on front including L14-30R 120v/240v, TT-30R 120v, 5-20R 120v. Planning on purchasing L14-30R to 5-20R adapter to expand standard household outlet capacity. Hoping this unit will be able to run a 120v/240v MIG Welder but have yet to try. Should be fully capable of supporting a reasonably sized RV or trailer. Minor Cons: No electric starter which is minor, the unit is heavy weighing in around 100 lbs taking two people to lift, and larger when compared to similar generators. These cons are generally not a problem when you consider the function and dual fuel capacity. For the price point as purchases these cons are easy to dismiss in favor of the pros, features and versatility. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a reasonably priced generator and as a backup to household and general contractor needs. For RV and Trailer usage consider noise requirements, overall weight/size and start/stop ease before purchase. Nonetheless would purchase again and will see how it runs with more time.
