We were without power for almost 2 weeks and this generator helped us save food in our refrigerator and freezer. We love the fact that it is dual fuel and we do not have to use ethanol gas in it. We were able to power it with clean burning propane and not gum up the interior components with ethanol gas.

I just purchased and I am doing the break in. I am impressed with the wattage output for the size of the generator, which just fits under my truck bed cover. It would have been nice to have a inverter model for the sound but it will work great for boondocking with my RV. Plus duel fuel is great

Ran the generator for a few hours just to break it in for the first time just after we picked it up Christmas Eve day so that it would be ready to use when we needed it. Seemed like we had no problems. We lost power a few days ago and went out to start it and had a hard time getting it started. I finaly got it started after about 10 minutes. Ran well after it started and plugged in to it . Ran it for about 15 hours with only needing refueled 1 time. After shutting it down and letting it sit for a few hours I went out to put the cover on it I discovered that I had a huge oil stain on my deck. I checked the dip stick and there was no oil in the engine! Called customer service today and was told to call back Monday thru Friday 8-4 and talk to a repair specialist. Very dissapointed after one use.

I bought this in april 2020 and it stayed in the box until recently a tropical storm knocked power out in several counties around me. I quickly put it together and started running drop cords for the refrigerator and hot water and the coffee pot....it works great.

This is my 1st generator. There were a lot of brands to choose from. We finally picked the Westinghouse generator. It was easy to add the oil and gas. It is easy to crank up and run. We ran it during hurricane Milton with no problems and feel comfortable we picked the right generator.

We had hurricane Sally then we had hurricane Zeta pass through our area. We did not have power and needed a generator for light keeping our freezer and refrigerator cold. We purchased This Westinghouse 5300 dual fuel generator. We purchased dual fuel because gas was in short supply and figured that if gas was not available we could use our propane tanks we use for grilling. This saved our food in the freezer and refrigerator. The power from this generator also allowed us to use our TV which kept us informed in what was going on in our area.

We just bought this for our upcoming dry camping trip. We are looking forward to the extra power. Tried it out on the back patio & started right up & runs like a champ. Can't wait to give it a full try. A little heavy, but the wheels are a great help.

I bought this for my father in law in case of power outages. Decided on this model because of Duel fuel. Uses same tanks as our grill. With propane you do not have to worry about leaving gas in it and having it go bad. But if you really need it you can use both and extend your time between refills, If gas is unavailable you can use propane. Most stores carry exchangeable tanks and it doesn't go bad like gas does..

Purchases dual fuel unit to replace an older generator. When putting the unit together, the wheels went on very easily. The two feet however had issues with the bolt that was welded onto the frame being misaligned with the holes on the feet. I wound up using a smaller bolt that would fit through without threading on one of the bolts. The second issue I came across was starting the unit for the first time using propane. I followed the detailed setup information but The unit would not start and the data center display would not illuminate. Hey call to support resolved botilluminateery quickly. The unit runs very well and will power virtually my entire house and appliances.

I researched traditional generator sets for months and decided on the WGen5300. For a home owner needing backup power in an outage, it has a decent size power capacity while still being light enough for two people to easily pick it up to move it to a different location if necessary, very happy with this purchase.
