Quieter and more powerful than my previous generator. The old generator was still in good shape but I wanted a generator that would run on Propane. I only received this generator a couple of days ago so I can't give a long term impression but so far I am very impressed.

The generator came well packaged and only required putting on wheels and adding oil. Started right up. It's a great advantage to have the option to use gasoline or propane to run the generator. Its powerful enough to keep the sump pump, fridge, microwave and portable heaters and other appliances working in the event of a power outage. Don't forget to purchase a cover to protect the generator when running out in the elements.

Purchase this product in February 2021 during the Texas Arctic Freeze. This generator has the ability to run on propane or gasoline. That is a great option. We used the propane option to run lights, a refrigerator and a portable heater. When we ran out of propane, we switched to gasoline.

I already owned a Honda generator, but Westinghouse had a price I couldn't walk away from plus it had a bigger power output as well as running on propane and gasoline. Since unboxing it and following the instructions for starting it for the first time I've been truly impressed. It's easy to start and actually blows my Honda Generator away. I have owned many Westinghouse products over the years and have been a satisfied buyer in all cases. I have a hard time expressing exactly how impressed I am with my new Wgen5300DFV generator, but I have no doubt it will continue to meet or exceed my needs in the future.

I bought the unit to help provide emergency electrical power to house for potential city power grid outages. The unit is easy starting, quiet running, has variable power means, provides variable electrical power voltages outputs and in sufficient power KW loading. I bought this generator as back-up power for my house, we live in California which is the land of rolling blackouts. The 44 amp @ 120v is more than enough for my house. I plan on using the 240v to recharge my plug-in hybrid which helped me sell this purchase to my wife, haha. The 240v was totally unexpected and along with the Dual Fuel ability . . . definitely a win win! This is my first generator and the time to set-up was surprisingly short and very easy, thank you Westinghouse!

We got this Generator because of the storm that happened this thursday may 16 2024 in Houston. The first day was ok it was not that hot but the next day it was 90 something degrees Fahrenheit without electricity no air we had to run the generator almost 24 hours we got the connection for 240v and we could use the refrigerator, a window air conditioner tv and some more and it did not heat up ,nothing...i really recommended this brand and this generator..

Just purchased generator yesterday, was packaged very well so product was in excellent condition. Was very easy to install rubber feet and wheels to frame. Filled with the oil which was supplied, filled with gas and it started on the first pull. Ran for about one hour and it ran smooth and actually wasn't as noisy as I thought it might be. Haven't experienced a power outage but feel that I will be well prepared when there is one.

I bought this generator on 09/13/2021 because a hurricane was coming our way. I put everything together when the hurricane changed course and the generator has not ben used, but it is ready for the next hurricane. Since I have not used this product yet I would be lying to say I recommend this product or not.

This generator was a life saver when we lost power for a day! Kept me from losing everything in my fridge and deep freezers! I power lights in my house, fridge, freezers, window ac, internet router, Tv to watch weather, and charge phones! Gonna buy another one. The ability to use either gas or propane is great.
