Damaged in shipping, customer service hangs up!

I bought this four days ago online through Sam's club. It gets to my house today I open it up and find the recoil starter was damaged in shipping. I call the support number and after a long phone tree, I'm put on hold. After a minute on hold, they hang up on me! Isn't that some bravo sierra!

Great product for my motor home

I purchased this a month ago and I am very happy with this product. A little more noise then I expected. A little hard to start for a 75 year young man. I love at Lake Tahoe, California, 6223 feet above sea level. Gas consumption is more then anticipated. I am still very happy with this product. Now I need a trailer to tow it. Thank you. I will purchase other Westinghouse products.

Ready for this Winter!

Last February when Texas’ power grid went down we went 4 days without power. Freak winter storms, hurricane, rolling blacks, zombie apocalypse… whatever, this generator give us what we need to the lights on. I like the dual fuel capacity. In a crisis, gasoline could get scarce so having a propane back up is cool. This unit is large enough to run just about everything in the house minus the HVAC. The plan is to integrate it into our homes system with a transfer switch so it’s seamless. Since the generator is only for emergencies it should last a long time with regular upkeep.

Perfect Size and ready to use

First time having a generator. Living in SC it is not often that we lose power due to storms but when we do, primarily due to ice storms, it could be up to 2 days before the snow/ice melts. The generator is compact but the feature I like the most is the ability to use either gas or propane. The unit is compact and very easy to operate. With a peak of 6400 watts, and normal running power of 5300 watts, there is enough power to go around for the essentials in times of need.

Great little generator for the essentials

I bought this to connect to a transfer switch to power essentials during power outages. The dual fuel feature is awesome. I ran it for 8hrs on less than half a tank of propane (20lb). It kept my lights, Internet and refrigerator on. This one won't do everything in the home. It'll do what you need though.

Significant improvement

Chose the WGen5300DFcv to replace my very unreliable Firman generator. I put way too much time and money trying to repair the Firman that had less than 10 hours of run time. After reading several reviews and articles, I went with the Westinghouse brand. I needed something I can rely on since we live in Hurricane alley. The WGen has been exactly what I need—reliable and easy to use. The dual fuel system is a plus. Don’t worry about spending the extra money for electric start. It starts easily on the second or third pull. Once started, maintains steady rpm no matter the load. Definitely recommend.

Great Value

We live in North Georgia and we have lost power several times. We decided to invest in a generator. This was a very powerful generator for a great price! We have had to use it once and we had everything we needed to be warm and content while waiting on the power to return.

Great dual fuel generator!

We purchased this after a recent power outage and had researched top dual fuel generators and this was at the top of the list. It was very reasonably priced compared to other generators of the same size. The dual fuel feature is really important as we used propane to run it! Works great and kept our necessary appliances running flawlessly! Great purchase!

Great product !

I bought this product after looking at reviews for products in the price range I had. This is a good amount of energy production and was excited to find out that it could be powered by propane and gas fuel. I do have to say that it’s a little noisier than I thought. But of course, the nose does not affect its function. Definitely would buy it again!

Easy Set up

During an extended power outage, my single fuel generator wouldn't start due to a fouled carburetor. We selected the Duel Fuel Westinghouse Generator and it started right up on propane. Cleaner burning fuel and easy maintenance. I'll probably only run it on propane, but really like having the option. Great product!!
