I bought the generator for confidence during winter weather. The looming threat of ice storms and power outages brings feelings of concern. We have survived 2 100 year ice storms. no heat, Now we can run the central heat. I did the test run and "break in" on propane. I love not having to rely on gasoline. Gas is now my back up fuel.

I bought it today and it fired right up and ran amazing. We were out of power and it made our life way easier. The packaging and stuff that came with it was awesome too. Generators don’t usually come with a little tool bag and kit. We love our generator

Spark plug cracked on second day of using it. Not quality reputable brands like ngk plugs or any big name brands for the carb. Air filter was like tissue paper. Plug was fouled too so carb was running rich wasting very expensive ethanol free gas I bought especially for jt. The tires feel like a little tougher version of Styrofoam 😂 Everything will rust like crazy no matter how or where you store it. First time I changed oil after it's stoped working on the end of second day and the oil was black with grey tint. Don't buy this I think there was even a recall on these in 2019

We ordered this generator after we were caught struggling for a week without power and May and another week without power in July. Won’t catch us again! We ordered and received our generator quickly, broke it in, and now we are prepared for the future! Good price, easy to break in, and easy navigation.

Power was out and looked for a power generator that was on SCE’s list for a rebate. Thankfully the Westinghouse WGen5300DFv was on the list and in stock at a nearby Sam’s Club. Bought it and used it with propane gas to power up both our fridges and saved our food from spoiling.

Love the generator and wattage output. I installed a cut-over switch and have tested it for running the house in a power outage, both freezers, kitchen lights/fridge and 1 AC ran fine with great voltage output (per the Electrician!). I did take 1 star off due to the fact that I had to order & return 2 units before receiving the 3rd one undamaged (the first 2 had FRAME and structural damage and just weren't packed well from the beginning). But the Generator itself works great once started and running!

Bought this generator when some severe storms recently knocked out our power for 2+ days in SE Michigan. Love the dual fuel option and opted to run this generator on propane. Each 20lb cylinder of propane lasted about 11-12 hours. Did not use the supplied oil... we used Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic oil. This generator started easy and ran everything we asked it to until power returned. Will be adding a 30 amp power inlet to the house so that we won't need extension cords if the power goes out again.

I just bought the product with the protection plan. The thing that sold me was being able to plug propane into it. A lot of times during storms gas is out because everyone has a car but i can use a good old fashioned propane tank to fuel it. great idea and can hold a serious load

I am impressed with the thought put into the packaging, the components, and the instructions. Everything you need; tools to assemble, pre-measured oil to fill the crank case, funnel, and tube so you don't make a mess. Assemble took less than 5 minutes, and engine started on the first try.

Every generator does the same thing... provides power, some stronger than others but all in all that's it. So I wanted to focus my review on other aspects such as build quality, ease of use, and the manual. First the build quality: this is a sturdy machine made of quality materials. It performs every task its advertised to do without any problems. It is a bit noisy but with it outside and me inside you can bearly hear it. Ease of use: every switch, indicator, or fill port is clearly labeled making this machine very easy to operate, with that being said there aren't a bunch of switches to confuse you either. and if there's something you have a question on there is a detailed manual for anything you need, which brings me to my third point. The Manual: I am an aircraft mechanic, in this job we have to follow detailed manuals to get our job done correctly for safe flight. these provided manuals are laid out very similarly to the ones I use every day which make any questions, troubleshooting, maintenance, operation a breeze when reading through it. With all that being said I would defiantly Recommend this product to anyone looking for a good generator.
