Bought this generator when some severe storms recently knocked out our power for 2+ days in SE Michigan. Love the dual fuel option and opted to run this generator on propane. Each 20lb cylinder of propane lasted about 11-12 hours. Did not use the supplied oil... we used Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic oil. This generator started easy and ran everything we asked it to until power returned. Will be adding a 30 amp power inlet to the house so that we won't need extension cords if the power goes out again.

The Westinghouse WGen5300DFcv is easy to put together with a great owner’s manual and instructions. It started right up in 37°F/3°C weather after I put it together. It ran on gas and Propane without a problem when I was checking it after I put it together.

I bought this generator after a big storm came by and knocked down but I’ll ride at home put it together in about 30 minutes I had the fridges and the TV and lamps running he had no trouble keeping up easy to operate. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time it starts extremely easily not even loud when it’s running.

I bought this unit during a recent power outage. This one was the perfect size and offered the dual fuel option, which is critical for my purposes. I have so far put 30 hours on it and it has run flawlessly. I am only using propane at this time, but it was very easy to start and provided adequate power for all the items I needed to run. I got around 10-12 hours on a typical 20lb grill tank.

I am 70 Years old and have NEVER been able to pull start anything. I pull start this easily. I am not intimidated by this generator, very easy to use. Gave me lights, heat, refrigerator, freezer everything to get through a power outage. Highly recommend!

Host registering my Wgen5300 now and it’s saying I get a bonus item for leaving a review. So far kind of disappointed I had so much trouble finding a cover, figure it would be offered with the purchase but oh well. Already spent hours finding a cover to match dimensions and paid for it to arrive same time. Now I can’t find any info on this cover offer. We shall see.. Generator seems nice and has plenty of good reviews, haven’t fired it up quite yet, waiting to be ready to give it the proper Maintnance. I did put wheels and feet on which was pretty easy. Thumbs up so far.

I was surprised at how much quieter this was versus my Predator unit. The wheel kit with this unit is great and easy to install. I'm very impressed with the propane efficiency on this unit too. The tank is the right size. Other companies go smaller. My only complaint is that the handle is on the opposite side of the exhaust, but that is a personal preference. The toolkit is a very nice touch. It helps with draining the carb bowl. I'm impressed.

Bought this for backup so got the dual fuel so I could use my house's 500 Gallon propane tank if I need generator backup. This is a nice unit, started almost effortlessly and because it's propane I don't need to worry about the gas going bad during long storage periods but if I need to run it on gas I just flip the switch and fill the tank.

First time using the generator so can only give initial comments but so far so good. The generator was easy to unbox and required minimal assembly. Everything you need to get it going is included except of course fuel. They even included tools for maintenance which was a nice unexpected ad. The generator was quieter than I thought it would be and as soon as the choke was applied started right up on the first pull. Overall performance seems to be very consistent for the six or so hours that I used. Thus far I would recommend highly!

I just bought this and boy does it have a lot of great features. I have used several gasoline only Generators but it is really nice not to have to store only gas as it goes bad if kept too long. Now I can use the gas or Power my house with propane which is so much easier. Thanks Westinghouse.
