[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my SC9S sound bar in February 2024, and can only give it a 4-star rating because I can't control the volume. When I change station, the volume would either increase or decrease. I'm constantly changing the volume which is very annoying. Maybe someone can instruct me how to make the correct setting.

Got the USC9S soundbar for free when purchased lg oled65g46ls TV. Definitely a big improvement on the TV speakers and sub adds booming bass. Great depth to sound with films in Dolby Atmos. Overall, happy with performance as soundbar was free but not so sure I would want to pay the full retail price for this unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sound bar by far has the best sound of any tv, or sound bar I’ve ever used. The sound quality is almost as good as that of a stereo receiver with 5.1 or better speaker configuration. When paired with corresponding LG tv there are a ton of options for the sound. Everything from working by itself or in conjunction with the tv speakers. I find YouTube and other lesser quality streaming services a little flat sounding and lacking bass from the subwoofer, but with streaming from Amazon, Disney or HBO plus the soundbar excels, the surround sound kicks in, the subwoofer comes alive and rivals a lot of sound systems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the LG SC9S Soundbar and paired it with my 2020 LG 55" OLED TV, hoping to create an immersive and easy-to-use home theater system in our living room, where we daily watch Numerous shows from a variety of sources. I used an HDMI eARC connection directly from my three-year old LG OLED, downloaded the iPhone app and turned up the volume. LG includes an HDMI cable with the Soundbar. Set-up was fairly easy, especially using the app. I set the TV's audio output for HDMI eARC and started testing the new Soundbar. Using the HDMI cable, the audio results were muddled. While watching favorite streaming shows, the voices were often drowned out or made difficult to hear by background music and noises. Talk shows sounded great as did the news, but shows with music and sound effects create issues. There are eight different "Sound Effects", but none cleared up the audio issues. Two seem redundant "AI Sound Pro automatically optimize sound based on content type" sounds very much like like "Standard - Generally, the best sound is set to be heard". The translations could be clearer. I called LG consumer support to troubleshoot my sound issues and the support person was quite patient and helpful. I swapped out the HDMI, reset the Soundbar and tried different input sources, but no improvement to the muddling. It was suggested I try an Audio Optical cable and that fixed the problem, but seems like a step-back in technology. Thankfully I had an audio optical cable and connected it from the 2020 LG OLED to the Soundbar, changed the TV’s output to match that cable and the “muddled audio” issues disappeared! Not sure yet if I still get all of the benefits and features of the Soundbar (IMAX, Dolby Atmos) using Optical Audio, but I can now simultaneously play audio from the Soundbar AND the TV, for even more sound. I had hoped to place the speaker in front of my 2020 LG OLED, but doing so blocks the RF sensor, so the remote won't work. I therefore put it on a shelf above the TV and it looks nice there, blending into the shelf. I placed the subwoofer behind the set and it is nicely hidden, but the bass is still impressive. In conclusion, the sound is very impressive, I just wish the set-up had been smoother and that the recommended HDMI connection had been successful. At least now I have excellent sound from all sources and am ready for even greater performance when and if I upgrade to a new LG OLED evo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new LG C SC9 Soundbar was made for my LG OLED C2 TV. Setup was a snap, I just plugged it into the TV with HDMI and ARC kicked in. The TV's remote worked right away, no programming. The mobile app made it easy to dial in customizations. The soundstage was so much broader with Atmos and IMAX capabilities than what the TV speakers provided. I'm waiting to repaint to then leverage the included Synergy Bracket to attach the soundbar to the TV, such great integration! Historically, the audio sync always annoyed me with other soundbars. This soundbar was set well out of the box, but it is easy to adjust the sync via the mobile app. The subwoofer is a great addition, but not overwhelming. It blends nicely with the soundbar and needed no setup.

My USC9S is connected to my LG OLED C3 TV and with the WOW Orchestra feature enabled the sound quality is terrible. I used the HDMI cable supplied and constantly had the sound drop out or muffled, I replaced this with a Ultra High Speed HDMI cable and whilst this has improved the audio slightly and the audio doesn't drop out as often, I am still experiencing poor sound whether that's from FreeSat or via Xbox. This is one of the features that LG highlights for the TV and it's a mess. Audio is fine when connecting via Bluetooth so I know it's not the bar! There's been no software updates or bug fixes since I've purchased the bar so this doesn't look like it's going to be fixed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this sound system to pair with my LG OLED 55inch tv. I’m very pleased with the sound system at any volume it sounds great. It work perfectly fine with my OLED tv and pair easily. Easy to set up and it mount directly to the TV if you want. Our family been using it for few weeks to watch movie and listen music. The LG soundbar and bass engrosses you excitement of an action movie or horror movie just like cinema. Quality sound enhance tv enjoyment, it makes watching TV and movies much more enjoyable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sound Bar was very easy to install. Even unboxing was very nice. Well organised, and easy to figure out what went where. Installing just required an HDMI cable into the TV's HDMI/ARC port, and selecting the input on the bar. Everything worked well from the start. It took a bit to figure out the volume settings at first, but it was fairly intuitive. One of the problems I had was the sparsity of configuration information. Once plugged in, there is no way to contour the audio. You can't alter the EQ much, or vary the "front", "side", ATMOS properties. Overall, it presented a nice image, but seemed a bit heavy on the mid high frequencies. I must admit, I am a strong user of a full range speaker set up, but I felt a bit disappointed in the overall tonality of the bar. Perhaps there are controls I am not yet aware of, or maybe a software update to address these areas. Once again, the lack of configuration information was an issue. This would still be a great system for small rooms, or apartment dwellers though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband wanted to upgrade our old receiver, multi-speaker system and give me an easier way to get great audio without pushing a lot of buttons. This seems to be the answer, but the process was not as easy as expected. Initial set up utilized the included HDMI cable and the hook-up was easy, but audio issues ensued. It sounded great with news and talk shows, which is nice. However, when we watched movies or streaming series the voices got muddled with the background music/effects, etc. making it very difficult to follow the dialogue. We tried the various settings, including the "Clear Voice" one, but none cleared up this issue. The LG OLED’s built-in speakers were clearer and preferable to using the Soundbar. Granted we do not have a newer evo C-series set, as ours is three years old, so we cannot get all of the features, like TV Sound Mode Share. We contacted LG Consumer support and after a fair deal of trouble-shooting (resets, swapping HDMI cable, adjusting TV sound settings) we were advised to try an Audio Optical cable connection. That cable, unlike the HDMI, is not included with the Soundbar. This seems to have fixed the muddled audio issue. Now we can clearly hear dialogue, as well as the music and sound effects. Surprsing that this was not possible with the HDMI cable, but thankfully we had an audio optical cable at home to test and fix the issue. One nice feature of using the Audio Optical cable is that we can also use the TV’s speakers at the same time, adding even more sound output. The Soundbar looks great above our 2020 LG OLED set. Trying to place it on the counter in front of the TV blocked the remote sensor, so we placed it above the set. The downloaded LG app makes it easy to adjust Soundbar settings including volume and select type of show; cinema, music, sports, game, etc. We are happy with the Soundbar, just wish it had worked better with the HDMI cable on our older set. We have a great immersive audio source to use now and in the future, should we upgrade to a new LG OLED evo set.
