I so wanted to give this fruitcake a five star rating however, it fell short of that. Another store that I also attend had fruitcake, but they stopped selling it, and I tried this one out. In my opinion, there is not enough fruit in it and it is not moist enough for me. I’m sure other people would find it satisfactory and that’s OK with me. I know what I like with all that said it was good fruitcake just not excellent.

Perfect. People that don’t like sweets - this is not for you. Lots of candies fruits and it is hard. Taste best cold and buttered. It’s really an acquired taste so if you don’t like fruitcake you will not like this. This will do for me once a year for the holidays- it’s a bit time consuming to make myself so this will do as fruitcake. If you do not like candied fruits and a dense cake do not buy this.

i grew up with CFC during the holidays. My father at the time used to gift the cakes to others. Didn't know he was buying and raising money for people with Autism and other misfortunes. I tried to support the organization that promotes them, but the chapter where I am located ceased to exist. They are great sliced up and handed out to friends when out skiing. Great pick me up and everyone loves them, so when people joke about fruit cakes, they have not had a Claxton Fruit Cake. Thanks Sams for carrying this product.

There are two factions of people - those who hate fruitcake and those who love it; I love it. Especially Claxton Fruitcakes. They are loaded with fruit and nuts and are the best fruitcake I have ever had! My grandmother bought Claxton Fruitcakes when I was a youngster and I have always loved them! These fruitcakes have been around for a long time and it is because they are so good and so many people love them! I bought several so that I can have them after the holidays.

First, I am one of those, of a small number, who enjoy fruit cakes. That said, the Claxton Old Fashon Fruit Cake is of very good quality. It is loaded with fine candied fruit and nuts. I have always found the cakes provided by Walmart to be fresh and enjoyable. If you have never tried fruit cake you should try this one.

This is absolutely the only purchased fruitcake I will eat. I've enjoyed it since we sold it as a school fundraiser in the 1960's. Usually I buy it in-store, but my club was out. We tried another brand at twice the price from another store, and threw it away; dry and tasteless. Then I thought to look online: success! Thank you Sam's Club and Claxtons.

This fruitcake is packed with fruits & nuts with very little cake. As such, the fruitcake is a little on the sweet side. I prefer a fruitcake that has a little more cake. However, being a special purchase for $9.98 for three one-pound loafs, it’s great value with good quality ingredients.

My husband told me that he didn’t like fruitcake. I convinced him to just try this as I’d had Claxton fruitcake before. It’s just plain different from other fruitcakes I’d had in the past. This is moist and dense, filled with glacé fruit and l chunky nuts. Sam’s Club was the only place I could find it.

I wait every year for Sam’s to get these in stock. I always buy 3 packages of them and put them in the freezer so I can enjoy them all year long. Great taste, moist, plenty of fruit and nuts, so be careful if you are allergic to nuts. I’m diabetic so this is my secret indulgence but I only have a small slice when the sugar urge hits me.

When I saw the Claxton Fruit Cake at my local Sam’s I was taken back in memory of my childhood. Every year at Christmas our family received a Claxton Fruit Cake. I went online and ordered fruit cakes for each one of my siblings. Sams delivered the cakes at no additional charge. The cakes were delivered before Christmas and all went as planned.
