The last two times I have purchased and used Kingsford Match Light, I have had to go to the store and purchase lighter fluid because it won't start. I almost used an entire box of matches once trying to get it to light. The bag says, "No lighter fluid needed. Coals ready in 10 minutes." If this product doesn't get better, I will not recommend it for the price. Spend the money on the regular charcoal and lighter fluid. Kingsford, I have always purchased your products because they have been the best. However, you are letting your grill masters down lately. Help us out, please.

Kingsford is by far the best charcoal on the market. And the match light is my favorite as it gets me cooking so much faster. What I love about Kingsford specifically is that you never have to worry about lighting it over and over like the knock off brands. Go kingsford.

I'm on my 3rd bag of Matchlight and have only had 1 good experience. I've stored as directed and followed instructions for use. I'm done. I've been trying for 30 minutes to get it to light with no success. No wind and dry charcoal. The concept is great but it still needs work. I don't recommend this product at all.

I bought some of this product and it would not light and didn't get very hot or stay hot very long I have always bought this and up until the last few months it worked great now not so much would I recommend to a friend no because it isn't worth the price or saving time since it doesn't burn well or get how enough. I am very disappointed in the product and probably won't be buying it anymore since it has go downhill. I cook with gas all the time that is what I love about charcoal is the different taste but don't get that anymore.

I normally buy this brand and have been happy. The last 2 times I purchased was not so good. 1st time had to dump the grill and add more charcoal as it was having trouble lighting and staying lit. The last bag I purchased did not light at all. I had to go to 2 stores on July 4 to purchase additional charcoal to be able to cook for my family. I'm not sure whats going on or if the formula has change but you need to go back to the old way.

My boyfriend and I have tried using this product twice-the first time we both got extremely ill. Thinking it may have just been regular food poisoning we tried it again-and we both became extremely ill just from a few bites. Our food smelled and tasted like cigarettes. Overall, a terrible experience and we won’t be buying or using charcoal ever again.

I thought this would have been easier than using charcoal and lighter fluid. Wrong. First it wouldn't light. Added fire starters and it lit but wouldn't stay that way. Fire wouldn't spread to other charcoal either. I'm 20 minutes in and the charcoal still isn't lit. Worst waste of time and money.

I love this charcoal, it has helped me for many years, i believe this is excellent for a woman whom is grilling. Safer & they are right no fluid& no after taste like fluid does. I just wish it was a little cheaper in most stores for the larger bag. But over all i give it a 5-star in rating.

My dearest kingsford, Through the years I've cherished you and faithfully relied on you for grilling on warm California days. Unfortunately, as of late, my heart has waivered as I no longer hold you with the same high regard. You have let yourself go kingsford and you have given me no other choice than to look elsewhere to fulfill my needs as a griller. In other words my love, if the bag says "match light", it better light with a freakin match! So for this reason I bid thee farewell forever. I've always been a die hard fan of this charcoal but something has changed with the texture within the last year. The charcoals are burning out way too fast. I've purchased several bags from different stores over the past few months and they're all cooking the same. Previously, the charcoals would burn with flames consistently once the juice from the meat hits them and the charcoals were hot. Now, they're barely staying lit and the charcoals are cooking down, filling the grill with ash within 10 minutes. This is becoming very frustrating. Hopefully this will pass and the product is made how it used to be. Until then, I guess I'll be using the regular charcoal that requires lighter fluid.
