Sam’s saved Christmas dinner! So happy to find these scallops. Prime rib and scallops is our tradition for Christmas Day dinner, and I scrambled to find scallops this year. These were so good, pan fried with butter and garlic. Highly recommend!

These are my favorite treat from Sam's. Perfect for a quick lunch. They've been out of stock for a month now. Pretty disappointing as they are incredibly good.

When I opened the bag, the smell was just as I remembered from the east coast. The scallops were all a good size, and had that hint of sweetness. Cooked them up in some butter and garlic, but not too long so they didn't get tough. They were so good.

These scallops were great! There was a small pinhole in the bag so my refrigerator smells like a fishing boat but the scallops were nice in size and tasted fresh. Will definitely buy again.

Excellent quality! My suggestion is to put in a colander, but the calendar in a large bowl, and run cold water over it for about 15 minutes to thaw. This defrost them nicely and also rinse the scallops of any foul water or taste that might have been frozen in. Broil them or scampi over pasta with garlic! You’re not gonna get any better than this unless you get them fresh from the boat. All scallops are frozen anyway. If you buy them “fresh in the grocery store“ they’ve thawed them for you. Flash frozen off the boat is best.

What happened? Sams used to offer Japanese Hokkaido scallops (considered the best in the world ) for a FEW DOLLARS LESS than these North American ones. Can we not get Japanese anymore because of tariffs or why? I mean, these are OK, but not as tasty and more expensive. How come?

Great tasting and very reasonably priced. These are flash frozen right when they’re harvested. The only way you get them fresher would be to harvest them yourself. Anything you’re getting “fresh” inland has been frozen anyway. I like to sauté them and cook them over pasta or make scampi with them.

Very tasty. Just make sure to keep them fully Frozen after purchase, that quickly just before cooking (I put desisted amount in gallon zip lock bag and place on cold water about an hour before cooking) dry thoroughly than cook. Opening the zoo lock bag of thawed scallops, they smell just like the sea.

When I bought these scallops home and opened the bag, they smelled like... well, smelled like scallops that were sitting for far too long. They had that stereotypical fishy odor that stunk up the entire refrigerator. I'm sure this isn't a super common occurrence, since there are hundreds of 5 star reviews where customers had a great experience. But when you buy cheap, bulk, frozen scallops from a warehouse club, there is a risk of stuff like this occurring. You buy at your own risk.

You can tell they were frozen fresh. They're delicious, a very good size & the bag has a decent amount. They're even large enough to wrap a half of slice of bacon around! No more wasting your money on those faux scallops once you've had these and you will not regret it! I recommend this product.
