This is my favorite whiskey. I enjoy it on the rocks

The only other blend that might be better would be your Caribbean a little stronger and more flavorful.Need to start distributing it again!!

I have always enjoyed Hayden bourbon, so since I was getting a Sam’s Club price, I thought I would try the rye. This is very fine sipping rye, smooth but bold. Should not be drank in shots.

I tried this recently and was stunned at how good it it is. I've recommended to friends who are bourbon drinkers and those who've tried it were pleased.

There is nothing better than a shot of Basil Hayden. I first tried this smooth bourbon while pouring for the Kentucky Proud Market in Rupp Arena. I couldn't believe how awesome. No bite. What? Now a Rye? I didn't think I would like it. I haven't tried one yet that has been good. OMG! This replaces BH's regular as my favorite! How can a rye be this smooth? Full of flavor. No bitterness. And just so good? Wow! Just wow! I wish you had social media so I could tag you! This is the best bourbon I have ever had in my 50 years! ❣️

A successful Old-Fashioned focuses the attention on the bourbon, which slowly unpacks layers of flavors with each sip. BHDR has a depth and complexity that may get lost or overpowered in other cocktails. In an Old-Fashioned the port balances the spicyness of the Rye(s) beautifully, without confusing the palate with all the herbs and spices of a vermouth. Use your oversized ice cube for this one, and don't forget the orange peel twist. It's a bit much for a Manhattan or Boulevardier as the vermouth fills that role in both those drinks. But back to the Old-fashioned. It's really like a bourbon designed for that, and I've found it unmatched. I offer the following not as criticisms, but for context: the otherwise excellent Knob Creek is too hot, and Makers Mark (the ultimate beginner's bourbon) too flabby. Bulleit is another fine bourbon or rye, but by comparison, lacks the complexity offered here. Eagle Rare might appeal to the 'purist'. But for sitting and sipping, a BHDR Old-fashioned is the one, or two...

When the first rush of this rich off walnut shade liquid reaches your taste buds, it's as if a orchestra is blurting out their magnum opus. Each sip is a new experience, since the peaks of the rye are sharp, while the valleys of the port remain ridged and mellow. Such an homage to what is beautiful from both. This Rye Whisky blew me away...so smooth and nice spice. My new favorite! YUM

Tastes a bit like a Manhattan out of the bottle. As I age with my whiskeys, a little smoothness goes a long way. I just add 2-3 drops of ice cold water to open up the nose and complexities. Delicious

I'm a huge fan of rye whiskey and have been drinking it for a very long time. I've had some very good ones, but this new dark rye is hands down the best I've ever had. Way to go guys!
