I've smoked 25+ of these prime grade briskets and they are top notch!!! A lot of reviews talk about how fatty these are and briskets are fatty by nature. It's how you prep it and smoke it. Trim the thick fatty parts down to about a 1/4" thick, cut out the hard fat, season and smoke!

I purchased a 17lbs USDA prime brisket that was processed the day prior. I’ve done several SRF gold grade waygu, and I have to say this was better. The flat was shaped well, and I took the point and made burnt ends. I could have swore it said never frozen, but could be wrong.

oh my word !!! the piece we bought was full of fat. we took out like 2 lb of just pure fat before cooking, so not sure if it’s worth buying this again, i probably won’t buy it again. Butchers need to trim a bit more the fats because they charged me for them.

I thought I was buying a pre-trimmed brisket. But it was at least 1/2 fat. I have photos to show it. I plan on going into to the store when I have time to show the manager just how bad it was. The whole center portion was hidden and it was a huge piece of solid fat.

If you know how to trim and cook a brisket, these things are the bomb. But word of warning, if you don't know how to trim or cook a brisket you really need to learn before attempting it. That said, at a price cheaper than hamburger, this is the way to go! Act quick while they have them.

FATTY!!! I’ve been making Briskets for Over 25 Years and NEVER have I gotta a BAD ONE till Now!! I’ve Paid A Lot Less for Them then this and they’ve All Been Great!! After ordering and ordering this it Finally came in and we were so Happy!! Everyone has been begging me to make one. Imagine How UPSET I was when I opened this and it was ALL FAT!!! I’m Not Talking A Little! It weighed Almost 15 Lbs and It Had to have Almost 14 lbs of FAT!!! Never will I order something without Seeing It First!!!

Very decent beef, perfect for stew. Personally I cannot handle the amount of fat and have some trouble digesting it, which is a sign of it not the freshest-- only reason to slash one star. But it's tasty although it's pretty tough to chew. Great for the price.

The flat was REALLY thin, and the cut seemed much more like choice than prime.
