I bought these for a gift. The shape is nearly perfectly round and the lustre is beautiful. They are individually and tightly knotted so they hang a little lopsided but I'm sure that will improve with wear. The clasp is very delicate and I hope it will last. They arrived in a box with a cellophane top that was smashed, labeled made in Italy, so I need to find a new box. All in all, very happy with the purchase.

These pearls are gorgeous. They have a nice weight/drape to them, having them hand tied just adds to the quality. I purchased 2 strands, our nieces and nephew (triplets) Graduated from High School and we wanted to give them a keepsake, rather then cash. We got out nieces each the 18" strand of pearls and we got our nephew an engraved pocket watch. They all loved their respective gifts. I am considering purchasing a strand for my daughters for Christmas and myself.

Purchased online and sent as a gift, I trusted SAMs to not let me down. SUCCESS! Arrived speedily (within days) and thrilled a granddaughter for her graduation with her first strand of pearls. Only thing that would have made it better would have been gift wrapping ;))

Pleased with shape, quality and color of freshwater pearls used in this item... Not thrilled that although pictured with gift box it came in a simple velvet drawstring bag. It arrived just a couple days before Christmas and had me scrambling to find a gift box from a local jeweler.

I purchased the pearls as a gift after doing a great deal of research and couldn't be happier with my purchase. They have a 14k gold clasp and each pearl is individually tied. They were very even in size and shape. I was pleased that I had a choice of sizes to choose from. The price was right and the recipient was thrilled. My only complaint is the box that they were delivered in for gift giving. If I had paid $10 for the pearls that would be the box I would expect to receive but not for a $100 gift. They are lovely pearls and made for a wonderful gift.

I love these pearls! After much research, I decided on this strand from Sam's and I am so pleased. I purchased these to wear to work everyday and they are perfect. I believe they look like an expensive strand of pearls - there shape and shine are lovely.

I’ve shopped around for a few months to find a good value for a great product. I believe I have found it! Pearls are knotted between each other and have a high luster with a nice size of pearls. This strand is a special gift and I’m looking forward to the recipient’s reaction. The pearls arrived in a cloth bag instead of a box as described. I remembered a reply to a review with the same issue. So I called the number, left a message, and Sam called back. He was very apologetic and sent a very nice gift box for giving and storing the strand of pearls.

The pearls are creamy and oval-shaped. They have a good luster. The center part of the necklace has pearls over 10 mm, there are no 11 mm pearls. There is a photo with 8-9 mm Sam's Club pearls, they are white and round.I like pearls, but it's not worth buying larger ones because they don't look good quality.

I bought this for my granddaughter and it is really pretty with a nice luster. Each pearl is individually knotted and nice quality. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because the pearls are less round than I'd hoped, but freshwater pearls aren't round like cultured pearls are. Overall - very happy with the purchase.

I ordered the 9-10mm size 18-inch strand of pearls as a gift. The pearls seemed to be a nice enough quality and the 9-10 size was perfect for an older lady. However, I was unprepared for the very pink cast to the strand. I have a nice strand of south sea pearls of my grandmother’s and they are a creamy ivory. This strand has a definite pinkish hue. When you put them next to your skin they look fine—just understand they may look pink when you open the box. The strand is knotted between each pearl and clasp is a typical safety clasp type—not a lobster clasp. Also, the set I received came in a white cloth necklace “envelope” inside a gift box which could easily be wrapped—no plastic bag like other reviewers have mentioned.
