[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been drinking Ensure since I had most of my intestines removed in 1975 because of Crohn's Disease. Ensure was recommended by a nutritionist. I use it as a base for shakes, smoothies, hot drinks (mix with cocoa powder or grain beverage crystals (coffee substitute), and everywhere else I'd use milk. Drinking Ensure has literally "kept me going" during those times when I had difficulty eating. I'm now 79 years old, just got my PhD in botanical medicine, and my doctors call me their "miracle baby" because I've been able to do everything I want, including long distance running, despite my medical circumstances. I owe the fact that I can still maintain my weight to the 3 containers of Ensure that I drink every day.

It satisfies me so that I don't need anything until lunch time. Also, I take it with me if I am going to be away from home at lunch time. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the taste and , in fact, now I love it. It's awesome that something that tastes so good, is also so good for you. I drink Ensure plain and also make smoothies with it ; sometimes I mix two flavors (dark chocolate with vanilla or strawberry, for variety). I'm not a fan of swallowing pills, and love drinking my vitamins and protein in Ensure!

I encourage anyone to try Ensure if your appetite is less than what it used to be. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the taste of the milk chocolate original Ensure. It is almost like a chocolate shake but so much better for you. I am often on the run and don't have time for a meal and use Ensure instead of eating "junk" food.
