Not Good At All

This is not a suitable replacement for Morey's. This taste is unpleasant and I have also had to deal with bones. The skin on these doesn't peel off as easily as it did with Morey's. I found out that Krogers offers Morey's brand salmon. I will start purchasing this from Kroger instead.

Nasty

We usually love salmon but this was gross. It was fishy, smelly and looked weird. Everywhere I read, said wild salmon is more pink than farm-raised, this was pale almost white. I'm not one to waste food but I ended up throwing the rest away. What a waste.

Straight to Sous Vide!

I slightly thawed them for 15 min in water, then cooked them sous vide at 120 degrees for 50 min. in the original packaging. Didn't even have to sear afterward, was the perfect texture and taste!!! Will try skipping thawing next time and increasing sous vide time to 1 hr next time to see how it turns out.

Suspicious Salmon

I was quite disappointed in this product, and have my doubts that this is really salmon. I do enjoy fresh and frozen salmon from Sam's Club, but this one just didn't hold up to any others. The product did not have a flavor profile of salmon at all, nor did it flake as salmon does. Also, after cooking it to 135 F, the fish was pure white, which is not indicative of salmon at all. After having tried this product, I would not be surprised if the source is actually tilapia claiming to be salmon. I'll stick with other salmon products from Sam's Club.

Fine but wouldn't buy again

I liked the previous version of the seasoned wild salmon that Sam's sold, so I figured I'd like this new version as well. Wrong. The seasoning is ok, if not a little on the salty side, but the salmon was EXTREMELY fishy. I definitely wouldn't buy again.

Convenient

I liked having the salmon seasoned and in individual packages. One package had leaked out but there is enough seasoning, almost too much, left for flavor. Next time I'm going to bake them as the seasoning pretty well burnt in the pan as I seared the cutlets. We never eat the skin so if there were scales, we never encountered them. Neither my husband nor I encountered bones. I would recommend the salmon.

Over-seasoned.

Over seasoned, I was excited to try this but when u did I was disappointed. I couldn’t even finished it. It was so much seasoning on it. Now the rest is just sitting in my fridge waiting to be thrown out. This was truly I waste of my money. I was so sad when I tried it and knowing I’m not going to cook or eat the rest of the pack.

Some simple improvements would be nice

The vaccuum sealed package is a pain in the you know what to get open, requires scissors. This is a replacement version of the MAURYS they carried for so long that was a better cut of fish and alot easier to remove from vaccuum sealed wrapper. Product is good but NOT as good as the Maurys was. Quality fish will become more expensive quickly as the oceans are pillage by worldwide growing demand for quality fish products and serious lack of any s attempts to plenish numbers. Halibut, Cod Tuna and Salmon are just a few that show serious population losses to commercial fishing.

Remove the added junk please

I wish I could buy this, what a great product to have wild caught salmon available. However, I cannot buy it with all the added junk, such as arabic gum and maltodextrin, etc. Ugh!!! Please remove the added garbage, it is harming our health, and just provide the wild caught salmon. I really do not understand why you must add the extra chemicals and junk.
