Customer reviews for LG 4.5 cu. ft. Top Load Washer forVerified Purchase
Quiet and easy to operate.
Received 12/23. It is quiet, easy to use, and attractive. My previous washer sounded like an airplane and was complicated to use. This machine plays a gentle tune when the wash is complete.

Spin Technology
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still early (only 2 weeks old), but I love the spin technology. The drum does not shake at all and the machine does not move.
Either too much or too little water.
I purchased a WT7000CW machine last year and I'm very frustrated with the lack of control over the water level. Either hardly any water is put into a wash or too much water! There is no happy medium. The bedding cycle fills the tub all the way up to the top and the laundry swirls at the top of the water and doesn't really get clean. The normal cycle puts hardly any water into the tub and I don't feel the clothes are getting clean. When you select "water plus", it fills the tub to the top in which case the laundry floats at the top and doesn't get agitated. The deep fill option is the same. Water fills to the brim with the dirty laundry swirling around at the top of the water far away from the agitator. Horrible design! So sorry I purchased this machine.
Thanks for your feedback, Mimi — the WT7000CW uses AI-based sensing to optimize water levels, but there are ways to improve wash performance if the results feel inconsistent. LG top-load washers like the WT7000CW automatically adjust water levels based on the weight and type of load. While this helps conserve water and energy, it can sometimes feel unpredictable depending on the cycle and fabric mix. Here are a few tips to help you get more consistent results: Understanding Water Level Behavior ⦁ Normal cycle uses minimal water to optimize energy efficiency. If clothes aren’t getting clean, try switching to Heavy Duty or Bulky/Bedding cycles, which allow more agitation and water. ⦁ Water Plus adds about 1 gallon of extra water — helpful for lightly soiled loads, but may not be enough for bulky items. ⦁ Deep Fill is best for large or absorbent loads, but if items float, try mixing heavier fabrics to help anchor the load. Tips to Improve Cleaning Performance ⦁ Distribute laundry evenly around the tub to help the impeller agitate effectively. ⦁ Avoid overloading — too many items can reduce movement and cleaning. ⦁ Use the correct cycle for the fabric type and soil level. For example, towels or bedding do better on Bulky/Bedding. ⦁ Try a different detergent — high-efficiency (HE) formulas work best, but some clean better in low-water conditions. Concerns About Washing Performance and Cleanliness
We bought this washer a couple of weeks ago, and after using it several times, I wanted to share some feedback. Overall, the washer is very nice—it's beautiful, and it runs smoothly. However, I do have a few concerns. On the Normal setting, the initial display shows 76 minutes, but within the first minute the time suddenly drops to 54 minutes, and I’m not sure why that happens. Also, during the Normal cycle, the water level seems very low, and the clothes on top don’t turn or move to the bottom, so I have the same concern that some items on top may not be getting fully washed. When I use the Bedding cycle, the washer fills with water almost to the top, but the movement isn’t strong enough to turn the sheets. I’ve noticed that part of the sheet never gets wet during the entire wash. It only becomes wet after the water drains and the washer goes into the spin and rinse cycle. This makes me worry that the untouched area isn’t being properly washed.
Hello there, Jenny Alcorn. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry regarding the washing performance and water levels of your LG Washer, model WT7000CW. We understand that the WT7000CW didn't meet your expectations in terms of cycle behavior and water coverage. Your feedback is important, and we appreciate you bringing these details to our attention. We can certainly provide some insight into the concerns you've raised regarding the cycle timing and water level. The initial display of 76 minutes dropping to 54 minutes on the Normal setting is normal behavior, as your LG washer uses Load Sensing technology. This system automatically adjusts the cycle time and water level after sensing the weight and size of the load to optimize efficiency and conserve water. This calibration ensures the unit is using the most appropriate resources for the load detected. Regarding the water level on both the Normal and Bedding cycles, your LG washer is a High-Efficiency (HE) model, designed to use less water while ensuring effective cleaning through powerful yet gentle agitation. For the issue with clothes or sheets not turning over and staying dry, especially in a Bedding cycle, a good step is to ensure the load is loaded loosely and balanced evenly around the central wash plate, without overloading the tub. Overloading or creating an unbalanced heavy load can sometimes restrict the movement needed for full water saturation. We want to make sure you are getting the best performance from your appliance. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-wt7000cw-top-load-washer For further assistance and any specific concerns you may have, please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. Worst customer service ever !
We bought a LG washing machine in November 2024. In July 2025 a piece of the door hinge broke. We contacted customer service and spoke to a very rude customer service rep. She kept telling us the machine was fine since an error code wasn't showing. After going round and round with her about still needing a repair man to come look at our broken henge, she sighed and told us if the tech came out and it wasn't a warranty issue, we would have to pay for a service call. The tech came out and had to order a new door for our washing machine. He came out on Aug. 5th and repaired the door. While he was repairing the door he moved the machine and hit the drainpipe under the machine causing it to come through the ceiling in our kitchen below. We have been going round and round with their offshore customer service trying to get the ceiling repaired> They keep telling us a "Presidential liaison" will call us back in 24-28 hours and no one ever calls us back!!!! This is the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with!!! We are still trying to resolve this issue!
Hi, Kathryn. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand how important it is for your LG Washer (WT7000CW) model to be repaired correctly and for service visits to be handled with care. Since the hinge required replacement, one helpful step to keep the door operating smoothly is to regularly clean and inspect the door seal and hinge area to prevent buildup or misalignment that can affect performance. You can find more guidance here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-WT7000CW.ABWETUS. If you still need assistance with the service-related damage or follow-up on your repair case, please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com so we can help you directly. ^Juvy

Nice washer so far.
So far so good. We purchased this washer about 2 months ago and thus far, it is working fine. I like how quiet it is compared to our previous washer.
