Member's Mark 110' Professional Garden Hose

I’ve bought and used these hoses from Sam’s for many years. I needed a new one this year and I wasn’t surprised to see the price was higher, but I was disappointed to discover it’s thinner than before. I’d rather pay a few more bucks and have the same tough hose. It used to be a good value. Now it’s just kind of standard fare.

This 5/8" hose is indeed strong and well made.  I have used three of these for two years - well pleased .

Kinks when you pull it around the yard. Cuts water off and you have to stop and unwind it.

The hose was wound and very rigid. I tried to straighten it, but it kept recoiling. It was also very heavy and not pliable. I figured I was looking at a lifetime of kinking, so I returned it.

Returned the hose

Hose is great and so is the brass female coupler however since it is not noted I have to assume the male coupler is aluminum or worse yet Chinesium. That is bad because it will corrode and be hard or impossible to remove at the end of the season, or in my case in central Florida year round.  Options are to connect the male end to only plastic fittings or replace the junk metal with a real brass fitting.  If you do the latter be sure to cut out a short section of the internal rib (this is designed to help prevent kinking) so your new  connection does not leak.  Regrettably  the strain protector is a pain to deal with.

Will require modification to be great
