Just bought this generator a few days ago before Hurricane Beryl hit Houston. Fortunately we did not lose power. We had the generator ready to go. Instructions were easy to follow. Generator is heavy duty and well built. Highly recommend for purchase!!

I purchased a WGEN5300DFcv portable generator a few days ago and I've been very impressed with it so far. After the initial setup, it started easily and ran flawlessly for a few minutes. My initial test was using gasoline. I'll try the propane sometime but I need to purchase a propane tank first. I'm impressed with the quality and now I'll be ready the next time we lose power. I also plan to use it when I used corded power tools on the areas of my property that are too far for a cord to reach. Great product!

I bought this because of the great reviews and cost. Have several friends that bought other brands and they are not satisfied. I have only used it once so far but it was easy to get going. I would like it better if it had an extension bar to pull/roll it where I need to station it. It's also a great size for small storage areas. Very satisfied. I already recommended it to a co-worker and her husband really likes it too.

This is my first Dual Fuel generator I've ever own. The simplicity of switching from gas to propane is the best. It starts right up with no problem. It powered my 2 refrigerators, TV with entertainment system, and 2 portable heaters with no problem. In the future I might have to upgrade to an higher wattage to power my house. Great job Westinghouse I will highly recommended it.

We bought this 2 days ago and are so excited about setting it up and using it during the blackouts that are predicted here in California this summer. The instructions are very clear and we anticipate no problems making it operational with propane because gas generators are illegal now in california.

I purchased this to use after Hurricane Ian this month. Was very happy that it ran on propane and gas. I wasn't sure what fuel I would be able to get. It also was able to run overnight on one filling of gas. We could watch tv, power our CPAP machines and the refrigerator and lights without waking up in the night because my CPAP machine stopped working.

Bought in preparation for an ice storm along with a refilled propane tank and gasoline. The capabilities are pretty slick with the option to use gas, LP or both at the same time PLUS if we install a transfer plate we could run most of the house off this generator and keep the fridge and lights going. Where we bought it, the price was a steal.

Just bought and it took several pulls to get it started. After running it for a while every time l tried to turn choke down it started running rough. I hope this will remedy itself after break in time.Just tried generator and it works fine but still runs rough when I turn choke off.

We bought this generator March 4 after an extremely strong wind storm. Our power ended up being off for 3 days. We got the wgen5300dfcv on the second day of the outage. It ran non stop for about 36 hours supply power to our living room, refrigerator and various other small things. It performed flawlessly, by the sound of the generator it barely even knew anything was plugged in. I would recommend this unit to anyone to supply power to a good portion of things in your house. I was impressed enough with the Westinghouse wgen5300dfv, that I will be buying 9500 version to hook straight up to my breaker box so I can run the whole house without having to run extention cords. But in the end a big thumbs up for the wgen5300dfv.

So, I bought this and it's a great value, seems to run very good. Only issue is cosmetic damage on the outside. I have contacted customer service and they assured me that I would receive new covers that were dented during shipping. If allowed I will update this review based on it they send me new parts
