I just received this genset a few days ago. The instruction book was very good--it gave simple, straight forward instructions on how to set up the unit. I ran it on both gasoline and propane, and on both, it started on the very first pull!! Relatively quiet for the amount of power it provides.

My wife and I ordered this generator on 6/17/2021 and once we received it I was impressed. It was nicely boxed up and upon opening the box to remove the generator, I was really excited because it was a great looking generator loaded with features such as the use of gas or LPG. Great job and a great product

I have had the generator about a month now and am happy with my selection. I like the features the generator came with, the long run time and the ease of being able to roll the generator around since several in this size do not come with wheels. I did have some questions after the purchase and the toll free customer service was very helpful and friendly.

I have been Now using this machine for about 2 days and I have put it through various tests using both gasoline on one and then propane as well for another. I love that it came with a switch for 120v and 240v. I usually use it with the 120 V 20 amp four common uses. I also have used this on a welder and I can say I did not disappoint. Just so you know propane has a max output of 4800 running Watts with 5800 Peak Watts. And gasoline has 5300 running watts and 6500 Peak Watts. For anyone who wants to know if you specs. It does come with tripped breakers so don't worry about overdoing the machine. There is also a ground connection screw in case you want to ground something. Coming straight out of the box I had no issues whatsoever getting a machine started. As far as the noise level he was surprisingly a little quieter than then I assumed. I bought this for emergency uses just in case the power went out as well as remote use when I need my welder and have no additional power supply. I can safely say that this machine does not disappoint.

I bought this product 2 days ago it was amazing. The instructions were clear, allowing for easier use and understanding of the device. The generator was also straightforward to set up it just needed gasoline and oil and it is also a great convince when the power goes out.

We bought this generator March 4 after an extremely strong wind storm. Our power ended up being off for 3 days. We got the wgen5300dfcv on the second day of the outage. It ran non stop for about 36 hours supply power to our living room, refrigerator and various other small things. It performed flawlessly, by the sound of the generator it barely even knew anything was plugged in. I would recommend this unit to anyone to supply power to a good portion of things in your house. I was impressed enough with the Westinghouse wgen5300dfv, that I will be buying 9500 version to hook straight up to my breaker box so I can run the whole house without having to run extention cords. But in the end a big thumbs up for the wgen5300dfv.

Managed to Order this just ahead of an Ice Storm in Dallas. This Genny saved my bacon. Managed to get it through a good break in period before the storm hit. The Unit arrived quickly and undamaged, the Starter battery was still pretty well charged so this unit was ready fire up right out of the box. It started right up on first button press and I ran it through several hours of break-in and oil changes. As with any portable generator its KEY to do this break in, and I DO recommend changing the oil after the break in. It helps flush out any impurities, and manufacturing debris so that you protect your Genny investment! Noise: The level is about what you'd expect from a unit this size and when its outside away from the house a safe distance, its about as loud as a Vacuum cleaner in another room with the door closed. Best Features: Remote start keyfob is great and I love the dual fuel option since I always have a few Propane bottles hanging about! Also i've found the Fuel gauge on top to be pretty accurate. Important to note: Its not small even for a Genny in the middle of their range and is a two-person lift, so plan on ordering a Wheel kit (the 5300DF does not come w/ wheels) if you plan on treating it as a "portable" unit. All in all i'm very satisfied and glad i purchased!

Overall very happy with the purchase and features. Love the ability to have both propane and gas options. The generator is a bit heavy, but is reasonable for 5k watts. It is also a bit load, but also as expected from reading the reviews. Everything is as advertised and would recommend as a general purpose generator.

I bought it a few months ago and I thought it would be difficult to set it up. It is a surprise that it has easy to follow instructions. I was able to set it up and get it up running. When the very first power outage happened, I was able to hook it up quickly and power my house. I am happy with this purchase.

After the last power outage of 8 hours in 10 degree weather, this generator was top on my list for preparedness. Reasonable price, needed wattage for my house, 20/30 amp, 120/240 - perfect for my home needs. Setup was a breeze, no instructions needed to install wheels and dampers. Adsed the included oil, waited to add fuel until I slowly cycled the pull starter 10 times to get oil to internals. Added a gallon of fuel, turned on the run switch and choke, started on the FIRST PULL. Turned choke off after about 45-50 seconds, engine smoothed out and the voltage hit 120 and leveled in maybe 5 seconds. Flipped to 240, hit voltage in 5 seconds. Let it run another minute, switched back to 120, leveled off in 5 seconds. LOVE the threaded oil funnel and the included 4 stroke oil was exactly the correct amount. As I stated, this generator could not have been easier to set up and get running. WELL worth the price and I don't have to worry about power outages any more.
