Fast and easy to put together and 3 year warranty

This work amazing you have to break it in first and run it with no load for 6 hrs to get a the valves sealed up. After that it works very well on propane or gas. I wish there was a natural gas converter that the sold so I could use the natural gas at my house

Meets our needs

Purchased after we had a very high water table in May and the sump pump ran every few minutes for two weeks. Wanted backup for it and a few other essential things. Haven't had the need to use it in an emergency situation yet but set it up and tested everything with good results. Easy to assemble, commission, and start. I purchased a 40lb propane tank to use with it and haven't tried it with gas. When the power goes out here it is typically only for a few hours. I'll keep a full gas can too, just in case, and have two 20lb tanks for the grill as backup.

Great generator

I purchased this generator to provide power during natural emergencies, work in remote locations and as backup for my RV. Set up took less than 10 minutes and generator started right up. Tested in my garage to power up 2 portable heaters, refrigerator and air compressor with no issues whatsoever. I love the fact that this model supports both gasoline and propane. Switching is easy and helps in prolonging power availability. I would highly recommend this generator and I am totally satisfied with this purchase as a good value.

Great Buy! 5 stars!

This generator was a life saver when we lost power for a day! Kept me from losing everything in my fridge and deep freezers! I power lights in my house, fridge, freezers, window ac, internet router, Tv to watch weather, and charge phones! Gonna buy another one. The ability to use either gas or propane is great.

Great Features

We bought this dual fuel 5300 generator due to the instability of out Texas grid in our location. Easy assembly of wheels and legs. Conveyance of using gas or butane. Remember if there is a power outage in your area more than likely the gas stations are out of power too. So you need option to feed your generator. This one gives you those options. Compact and powerful. Started right up on 2nd pull.

Great power output

Bought to replace RV generator. After breaking in, I tested it by connecting it to the RV and running the 15,000 BTU A/C along with microwave plus coffeemaker and lights. Output on volt meter dropped by only one point. This should work very well for dry camping. Easy to start and easy assembly. Very pleased with my purchase! Already recommended this unit to my neighbor who is planning to purchase a generator.

So Far All Good

I just received my generator today and was easy to assemble (put on wheels), was easy to add oil with the supplied funnel that screws into the oil port and was easy to start. I am currently using only propane as it comes with a decent length hose and easily attaches to generator. It took a couple of pills before starting but it did have to get the propane into the system. It ran nice and smooth and did as it should when I hooked up a good sized leaf blower to see how it reacted. I haven’t added gas as I won’t use gas until an actual power outage that I hope doesn’t come.

Powers my entire house with ease!

The 240v output on this generator makes it quite simple to hook up and feed your main panel during outages, and the power output is more than enough for my 2300 square foot house. The option to run on propane means that I don't have to worry about a gummed up carburator or fuel system when this generator is needed! The derates due to propane usage coupled with my 6,500ft elevation mean I can only expect this generator to produce ~3,450 continuous running watts, but that was still more than enough for my purposes. I tested this generator by transferring my main panel from grid power to the generator, and running in that configuration for 3.5 hours. I periodically measured current and voltage on both of the hot conductors to calculate load, and I averaged around 1400w for the 3.5 hours. The maximum load I measured was 1750w, which included my primary refrigerator/freezer (inverter driven, so no large inrush), a second full size freezer (22A inrush measured), all indoor lights, two ceiling fans, natural gas furnace (mainly the fan), a convection gas oven (manly the fan), and everything normally plugged into outlets including a couple of computers. The largest imbalance I saw was 6.2A on one side of my panel and 3.3A on the other, but the generator was still able to hold voltages relatively even at 121.6v and 122.2v from each hot to neutral. I had the propane tank on a scale during this test, and it used ~6lbs of propane, which works out to a burn rate of approximately 1.7lb/hr at 1,400w (40% of my rated output at elevation), so it should run my house for nearly 12 hours on a standard 20lb propane tank.

Exactly What I Was Looking For

After going 9 days without power after Hurricane Beryl ravaged Houston and having to borrow my friends generator, I promised to buy one as soon as they were back in stock. The generator was super easy to put together! I appreciate that it comes with the tools and funnel needed to add oil and do basic maintenance. It’s very straightforward to use as well. This was the only generator of this size that I could find that offered duel fuel capability and was still reasonably priced. It fired up easily, switches between the two fuel sources seamlessly, and is quieter than some generators I’ve dealt with. Hopefully we won’t have to use it any time soon but it’s nice having the peace of mind that we’ll be able to power our necessities should we lose power again.

Awesome Generator

I purchased this generator to replace my older generac 5500w unit. I plugged into our home with the direct 30amp 240v plug and it worked perfectly. It ran our furnace, well pump and refrigerator. I love the flexibility of gas and propane. I have only used it with propane / and it worked just great.
