I love the dual fuel. I mostly have used propane and it doesn't give off a lot of fumes. My BBQ grill gives off more. It starts right up with about 3 pulls. I can run my fridge, sump pump, floor freezer in garage, 2 TV's, 4 lamps and two desktop computers with zero issues. Its not as loud as I thought it would be as my past generators were. Love the wheels and handle. Very simple to move around and place. I have 3 - 20LB propane tanks. I can run this for days.

I bought this generator a month ago after a lot of research and watching YouTube videos. This unit is quality built and I love the duel fuel option. Also, the various receptacles give this generator lots of flexibility from camping to home backup power. I now have peace of mind during a power outage.

I bought this unit 4 days ago.haven't been able to use it the did run it for and hour to break it in .machine quiet .not sure when I will run it with an load .well do a reveiw again then . but down south its hurricane season no I'm sure I'll get you running pretty soon.

I recently purchased this generator and am very happy with it. The build quality is good. I put in the oil and some fuel and it started on the first pull. It is easy to use. I bought for emergency use and it should be capable to running all the appliances in my house. I was concerned it might get beat up in shipping based on other reviews, but fedex delivered it in good shape. My only complaint (which is minor) - the oil drain plug is located directly over the lower support of the frame. Oil changes could be messy as there is not enough room to fit a pan between the plug and frame and oil will drain directly on the frame.

This generator fired up on 3rd pull. Not as loud as other generators. Nice compact size. So glad I purchase this for winter months or any power outages. I was able to put the wheels on by myself in less than 5 minutes. Everything you need is in the box except the gas & propane tank.

I bought this a few days ago, it should have been ready to go out of the box. However this one Had some damage, the cage around the recoil cord was pushed in preventing pull start, and the spring for the choke lever was damage. I called the support number on a Saturday, and the guy I talked to, not only started my warranty claim, but help me with a temp fix so I could use the generator that day.

We had hurricane Sally then we had hurricane Zeta pass through our area. We did not have power and needed a generator for light keeping our freezer and refrigerator cold. We purchased This Westinghouse 5300 dual fuel generator. We purchased dual fuel because gas was in short supply and figured that if gas was not available we could use our propane tanks we use for grilling. This saved our food in the freezer and refrigerator. The power from this generator also allowed us to use our TV which kept us informed in what was going on in our area.

We bought this generator in case there is a power outage in our neighborhood. We tested it several times and it works great. Just wish it is a little quieter when you turn it on. All in all, we are very satisfied with this generator. It gives us peace of mind in case our power goes out.

I just finished putting this together and starting it up. The instructions were simple and easy to understand, and it's out there running through its break-in period right now. It started on the first pull, first time! Amazing! I was expecting to have to pull the cord at least twice! Nope. I am looking forward to using it to plug my RV into here at the house, 'cuz where I park it there is no shore power. Also, since it will generate 240v, I am going to have an electrician wire a plug for my well pump, so when I lose electricity during the coming apocalypse (just kidding), I can plug it into my generator and still have access to water. Good deal, Westinghouse!

We suffer from constant power outages, that seem to get worse every year. This thing was absolutely perfect for us. Powered 2 refrigerators, a few lights, and our coffee maker with no issue. I just need to get a transfer switch installed to make it easier so we don't have extension cords running all over the house.
