I bought this generator March 19th of 2022. I broke it in using propane with the directions just because i had some you can use gas. I saw some bad reviews which made me not want to buy it at first but don't let that scare you. I haven't had any problem at all using this in my construction business off and on all summer and here's why. "NON-ETHNAL" fuel only!! 2nd thing turn the generator off with the gas on and off lever not the on and off switch get in a habit of doing this every time you use it. This drains all the fuel from the carburetor completely. Gas setting in a carb for 2 or 3 months are longer will start to gum up the carburetor. I saw some reviews where they said they used it then didn't use it for like 3 months and it wouldn't run well this is probably why I can't stress this enough only use non-ethanol gas and check your air filter if you're using it a lot change the oil every year just like a lawn mower etc. I turn on the gas, coke on full wait a few seconds for the carb to fill with gas and it starts first pull every time. Hope this helps you out.

Great little gen with some of the high dollar perks without breaking your wallet. Was definitely blown away by the performance and ease of use. I would have rated it 5 stars if it wasn't for the one complaint many have. Shipping could be better like many have mentioned before mine did arrive with slight damage to the air filter cover. Which honestly surprised me since the box was in pretty bad shape. Other then that I'd definitely reccomend it and plan on buying another.

This is one of the best value in dual fuel generators of this wattage. I only tested it with propane when I took it out of the box, and it ran fine so it should do the job when I need it. I recommend buying it at Sam’s warehouse rather than shipping it home as the box was in rough shape and the blue round cover had a small dent. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of exchanging it since it ran fine. They definitely need to improve on deliveries - I took off a star for that. Other than that, the generator is a great buy.

I bought the wgen5300 cause of all the reviews and cause my champion generator quit working so I needed an upgrade and it was cheaper then what I paid for the champion 5k starting 4k running watts I would give it 5 stars but frame had scuff marks which looks like it's been there for a while it had a rust look and it didn't seem as efficient as my other one when I turned the water heater on to the camper but still did the job just sounded funny but best for the money gas and propane how can you go wrong right

It's an easy decision to go with the WGEN5300DFv: It's a dual fuel type with the right wattage, and it's from a brand I trust. There is nothing fancy about the WGEN5300DFv. Compared to the more expensive DF model, the DFv lacks certain features (i.e., remote start), but it gets the job done. [ In general, I prefer barebone models over others. They are not only cheaper, but also more reliable. Fancy add-ons, especially "high tech" stuff, tend to break down faster than the rest of the machine. ] The following points may be worth noting: #1 The WGEN5300DFv seems to be quite popular. It's often listed as out of stock. #2 The propane hose connector on the generator has a compression fitting. This means once you hook up the hose it really needs to stay there. If your use case requires you to connect and disconnect the hose (it's a portable generator after all) then this model propably isn't for you. #3 The box is barely bigger than the generator. There is very little to no styroform padding inside. Thus any dent on the box probably means dent on the generator itself. If possible, pick up the generator from the warehouse. If yours must be delivered, you may want to carefully check the box for damages. #4 Noise measurements: 90db at 1ft; 85db at 3ft; 60db at 3ft if the glass door in-between is closed.

Product is as advertised. Easy to set up and use. Great piece of machinery.
