The box it arrived in was a little beat up, but generator was packed well enough. It is heavy, but I was able to put on wheels and feet without an issue by myself. Once the wheels are on, it was easy to haul around. I like that it operates off propane and came with a wrench, a funnel, and oil. I haven't used it yet, but will do a test soon. I live in Florida, and this will come in handy as backup power.

I bought this not too long ago to run during hurricane season if needed. It is the duel fuel that runs off both propane and gas. On propane it is actually really quiet running. It works amazing and lasts a long time on one tank. It makes me a bit more comfortable knowing that I have it.

Purchased the WGen5300DFv to have available in case winter storms get bad this year. This model has everything we needed out of the box - including an oil funnel, which is a great feature I'm pleased to see added, and the LP hose and regulator. Very difficult to find this feature set in a dual fuel model at such a great price point. I plan to use the unit with extension cords, but with the L14-30 outlet you can easily connect directly to your home panel, which we might do in the future. Load testing went great and the generator didn't skip a beat. You need to be prepared for the noise - open frame traditional generators are not known for being quiet, but that should come with the territory if you're buying a generator, so this was not unexpected. So far maintenance has been pretty easy as far as the first oil change, although I recommend making a custom funnel to direct the oil out of the drain plug to ease cleanup. I'm satisfied with the features and power of the unit, and if we need it for an emergency, I'm convinced it will perform as expected without issue.

I did get it started, but after about 5 minutes it just shut off. Started it again and after a few minutes it shut off again. I live in high altitude so I purchased the recommended high altitude kit and hopefully it will run better after installing the kit.

This generator was better than expected for what I paid. Plenty of power to run what I needed. It was a life saver to keep my refrigerator, and window A/C running when the power went out in 100 degree weather. Not to mention the convenience of being able to use gas or propane to run it. Definitely no regrets with this purchase.

Bought this when our power went out 2 days ago. Simple set up, just add fuel and oil. Started on second pull and ran flawlessly for 4 hours. Was able to power 2 full size refrigerator/freezers, an upright freezer, and 1/2hp sump pump from the two 120v outlets.

This generator has been simple to use around my property I have a half acre where I do not have electricity on the other half so when it comes down to doing work I utilize this generator. It's been perfect as well in regard to power outage's from time to time. Easy to start, Easy to use.

I bought this generator about 2 weeks ago just in time before Hurricane hit and was DEFINITELY worth it and such a life saver!! Instructions were super easy to follow on how to turn on. Also came with maintenance guidelines which was super helpful in making sure keep it running. I know wattage number seems low but it kept my fridge, window ac unit, tv, outlets and stove running! Once we were all done was easy to put away.

Everything seems fine, Im running it through a break in period but I couldnt start it right out of the box because I recieved the unit with a caved in cover over the pull start mechanism. The blue grill that houses the pulling assembly was caved in to the point where I couldn't pull the cord at all. I had to remove it and cut it and reform it so it would spin freely. All in all the generator seems like its well built enough and there is attention to detail in its manufacture. I would like for someone from westinghouse to get back to me and send me a replacement cover and pull start assembly though.

The Westinghouse WGen5300DFcv is easy to put together with a great owner’s manual and instructions. It started right up in 37°F/3°C weather after I put it together. It ran on gas and Propane without a problem when I was checking it after I put it together.
