Designed in USA, not made in China. After the initial set-up procedures, this generator started easily on the first pull and i ran flawlessly during break-in on both gasoline and propane. Much quieter than I anticipated. This was purchased as a power loss back-up during hurricane season. Hope I never have to use it but now I have peace of mind if there is a power loss. Not that it matters for functionality but this generator is a thing of beauty.

I am so happy with this Generator. The best feature is the duel fuel, Gasoline or Propane. This Generator running on propane ran two (2) refrigerators, one (1) freezer, TV, Internet cell phone chargers, computer, and some lights for almost two weeks during a major wind storm and power lines down. I highly the generator.

I bought this a few days ago and it it awesome! I love the duel fuel option and the price you just can’t beat! This will help me especially when the power goes out in the little town I live in. Sometimes we can lose power for hours and propane can store longer. Excellent piece of technology!

So far so good! 👍 Set up instruction were straight forward, and easy to follow. Had to make the change to a dual fuel Genny after it seemed like all of the gas I stabilized went bad inside of 6 months. This should be powerful enough to keep the freezers frosty and furnace runnin'. Just what we needed.

We had a power outage for 8hours. 8hours! The operation instructions were straightforward and made a stressful situation manageable. Westinghouse made it easy to get started by including everything in the box. We only needed the fuel source and voila. We had power. We didn’t run a full load; we powered the modem for internet and about four electronic devices. The generator performed efficiently and powerfully for hours on end. It’s portable so it was easy to place exactly where we needed to run the power cord. Thanks W for making our inconvenience, “comfortable” with your outstanding performance 5300/4800 generator. After research many kind of portable generator, I decided to purchase Wgen5300dfv with a lot of good features that I need but low price. This generator can run for fridge, fans, portable heater or ac. In special, I can store propane for operating it that is not wory about fire if storing fuel. I am so pleasure with this generator.

I bought this generator for our travel trailer..plenty of power to run everything while hooked up to our onboard propane tanks, including our AC cranking at full blast. I love the dual fuel option cant find a better generator out there for the price. THANKS AGAIN..

I bought this generator today because my old one kept tripping the breaker. This one has plenty of power and has a dedicated RV TT plug with it's own 30 amp breaker. I ran the AC, Microwave, Refrigerator and coffee pot all at the same time, no issues!

I bought the machine in August 2020. I opened it up Jan 3rd, 2021 and began putting it together. The choke lever was broken, likely during shipping. the fuel line was leaking. I put in a new fuel line but the generator has yet to start for me. I'll be working with Westinghouse to remedy these problems.

My brand new unit never started. Called tech support and after some going back and forth, they had us bring to a local shop. The shop could not get it fixed after getting 3 different parts from Westinghouse. Westinghouse then sent a new unit which arrived completed damaged and had to get returned. We finally have a new unit 2 months after initial purchase. It works on gas so far. We haven't tried the propane functionality yet. There is instruction that comes with the unit telling you to call technical support instead of returning to the store if there are any problems with the new unit. In our case, it would have saved us a lot of time and Westinghouse a lot of money (they were out the shop fee and 2 additional generators) if we just returned it to the store and bought a new one. All in all, we spent hours between calling Westinghouse, calling the shop, and travel to and from the shop. I contacted Westinghouse about any compensation for the inconvenience and have not heard back.
