This is the first time that I have purchased a generator. I have done a lot of research and decided to go with the Westinghouse Dual fuel. I purchased it about a month ago and have not had the chance to use it. But I already love all the features and it really is well made. I will update review once I am able to use it.

I bought yesterday, unboxed today. I'm happy it came with a bottle of oil with the exact amount so the level was between high and low. the wheels and rubber feet were easy to assemble. it came with a wrench, and spark plug wrench, and adaptor for using propane.

I bought 11/3/21Received generator all in good condition, with no dings or dents. Assembly was fast and easy. Only four bolt to install front legs. Wheels install with bolt axles and pins, about 10 to 15 minutes. It is little heavy, but easy to move with the wheels and handle installed. Started first with propane. It started easy run well, then gas, also run well. purchased it because of the option of dual fuel to power home light, appliance, in a power outage. It will also run my water well, pump and with propane, I can keep two 22# tank and if more fuel needed for long outage. I can get gas or propane. Would have preferred the electric start model, but was not available any where, and I wanted the Westinghouse for it reliability. I had one before and liked it. It is economical to run that’s good when you have a long outage, so I think it is a good buy.

After researching, I purchased this Generator because it had just the right wattage I was looking for and the dual fuel aspect was very appealing. The only issue was the frame had a cosmetic flaw that did not hinder its operation, so I decided to keep the generator because it would be more of a hassle to return that was worth it. So far everything is working as advertised.

This generator was purchased during the power outage caused by hurricane Helene and has been absolutely *CRUCIAL* for keeping our lives stable. It provides excellent power for the price, and can easily maintain a separate fridge and freezer at the same time as powering several home lights and small appliances, like a CPAP machine. Changing the oil could be improved if the drain plug was positioned better, but it is otherwise easy to do. Just make sure your pan is short (height-wise) and long enough to catch the oil as it falls and spreads along the frame below it. It only holds .74 quarts of oil (provided at purchase and about 24 oz) and needs to be changed after the first 25 hours of use. After that it needs to be changed every 50 hours. The generator will run for approximately 13-14 hours on a full tank of 4.7 gallons of gas. If you prefer, it can use propane as a fuel source, but we have not used it with propane. Overall highly recommend this product.

We bought this a month ago in preparation of hurricane season in Houston. We have a small home and just need to be able to power the essential. Instructions are very simple to follow to get it up and running. I ran it for a few hours to test it and it handled everything we need it for on gas. I haven’t tested it with propane but it’s always a nice feature to have.

Overall I've been really happy with my purchase. For our situation, this will have plenty of juice to run a sump pump, fridge, freezer, well pump, and so on. It's nice that they include the oil for start up, and best of all is the dual fuel potential. Being able to seamlessly switch over to a 20 or 30 lb propane tank if gas becomes scarce is perfect for us. The one thing I wish they included was in the directions, I wish they had the instructions for breaking in the engine/motor. You can find them on the internet if you search for it, but including breaking in instructions would have been something I thought they would have/should have included. That being said-this thing should last us and living in the extreme rural north...I'm sure we will get lots of use out of it.

For the price point, this is a really good purchase. Prior to purchase, I researched all of the generator models, watched a ton of YouTube video reviews, and found this model to be the best bang for the buck. There are a bunch of reviews of poor packaging with damaged parts upon arrival and mine arrived to my porch delivered, by Fedex, on it's side and I feared the worst. I drug it in my garage, opened the box and to my amazement, not a single scratch on my new power source (see pic). The unit is much quieter than I thought it would be and started on the first pull. I live at 7034' and I strongly recommend purchasing the high altitude kit when going much above 3000'. You need to reduce the amount of fuel going into the carburetor so as to arrive at the proper fuel/air ratio. A lot of generator owners skip this step. One cannot cheat this this lower oxygen level condition at higher elevation and the upgrade is critical to preventing the spark plug from fouling and for maximum efficiency. So far so good, Dave M.

This generator fired up on 3rd pull. Not as loud as other generators. Nice compact size. So glad I purchase this for winter months or any power outages. I was able to put the wheels on by myself in less than 5 minutes. Everything you need is in the box except the gas & propane tank.

Outstanding product, delivered on time in perfect condition. Excellent size, price and reviews made this the generator for me. Perfect so far, easy to set up and use, no complaints. This is an outstanding generator with all the features I need plus some extras. I am very very happy with this generator!
