The instructions on how to set up & start the generator were easy to read & understand. Very little work was needed to do this. There were no issues with adding fluid EXCEPT the enclosed funnel (needed to add the oil) should be a couple of inches longer to make it easier. The funnel, when attached, is at a low angle making spills possible. I needed to have a rag under the funnel when adding oil to catch any spillage.

My wife and I bought this Westinghouse dual gas portable generator so that as we travel towing our RV and decide to stay at a RV park, we don't have to depend on a full hookup site to park our RV. Now we can reserve a site with either a full hookup or not. The generator was very easy to unpack and there was very little to do to power it up. It started the first time after using the choke and we tested both the gasoline and propane uses. We experienced no problems at all. Can't wait to try it out if full hookups are not available! We now are really Happy Campers!

Love this generator! The push button start makes it so easy to use. I always struggle to start pull start equipment, so it's so nice to know I won't have to worry about that anymore. Where I live, we get all kinds of severe weather that can cause prolonged power outages. It's such a comfort to know I'll have the generator to help in those situations.

After a tornado left us without power and the realization of being without electricity for several days left me anxious, I purchased this generator to keep two refrigerators going and cell phones charged. We set it up with very little trouble in the dead of night and had it running in about 20 minutes. Very thankful they included oil! Started up after the first crank and everything was good to go. As someone who is not familiar with generators, the detail in the instructions was very helpful. Also knowing I can switch between gasoline and propane is nice. We didn't have the need to tax it's output but it did everything we needed. When I first installed the legs I only tightened the screws by hand figuring I would tighten them in the morning. This was a fine plan, I guess, but the vibrations of the generator working caused them to shake out. Not a big deal, but I almost lost them in the grass. So beware to tighten them properly.

I bought this generator on 09/13/2021 because a hurricane was coming our way. I put everything together when the hurricane changed course and the generator has not ben used, but it is ready for the next hurricane. Since I have not used this product yet I would be lying to say I recommend this product or not.

Our power was off because of a tornado which came through Kentucky December 10, 2021. We decided to purchase this generator to save our food which was in the freezer. It worked great. We always said that we needed to buy a generator. There's nothing better than the decision being made for you.

I live in Southern Louisiana. We bought this in March in anticipation of the 2021 hurricane season. We were without power after Hurricane Ida for nearly a week and the generator worked like a charm. We were able to run our fridge/freezer and phone chargers for small periods of time to keep things charged and cold. I also appreciate the fact it can run on propane as well as we learned it was tricky to keep it running because of the gas shortage due to the hurricane.

This is a must have if you live in an area with an unstable grid (i.e.- Southern California in the Summer). Our power went out during a time when we were hosting friends, and this bad boy allowed me to cook on two electronically controlled pellet grills while charging all my portable devices and running outdoor lighting. I recommend it to everyone I know.

I just tried it for the first time and used propane. After a couple pools it started right up and ran beautifully. It’s a little louder than I expected, but I’ve never owned a generator so I don’t know if it’s louder or quieter than others. But Reed is able to power refrigerators and freezers. I hope to be able to plug it into the house power so that I can run the furnace in emergencies

Just bought and it took several pulls to get it started. After running it for a while every time l tried to turn choke down it started running rough. I hope this will remedy itself after break in time.Just tried generator and it works fine but still runs rough when I turn choke off.
