I bought this generator to power my RV in case of a power outage like we had here in Texas in February (we were without electricity for 7 days)!. It was easy to unbox and there was very little assembly required. It was well packaged and was undamaged. It took less than an hour to put it together, put some oil in it, hook it up to a propane tank and fire it up. It started on the 2d pull and ran flawlessly. I ran it through the first hour of break-in and checked the the output with a outlet tester and it was working well. I'm looking forward to hooking it to the RV for a test run tomorrow - Thanks!

Just received this and followed the excellent owners manual for assembly and adding oil (which I really appreciate you including). Put a quarter tank of gas in, threw all the right switches and valves, and it started on the first pull! For the size of engine, the recoil start is very easy to pull, unlike my 5hp chipper/shredder. I especially like that it has a fuel line shutoff to the carb since it will be sitting idle more than actually running. I don't like where the oil dipstick is since I have to get down on my hands and knees to see and access it. The only negative item is I ordered the wrong one, meant to get the electric start model. Oh well, don't have to worry about replacing the battery every year! Really glad it came with wheel kit and propane regulator. Should be all set for hurricane season this year and the almost weekly power outages the rest of the year. I'll try to update or add another review (with pictures) when I actually have to use it.

Bought the unit a week ago. It’s still in the break in period, so I can’t keep my expectations too high. Unfortunately, it’s been a bit difficult to start while using propane. I followed the instruction manual to a T. It’s required many, many pull starts to fire up. I haven’t tried gas yet, and have intention to do so soon. Once going, it powers everything I need it to, primarily the deep freezer if my power goes out. This thing is a powerhouse! Max wattage on my large deep freezer is only about 1:10th of the max wattage of the generator. I’ve got plenty of room to use on other appliances if needed. I never want our power to go out, but I know this Westinghouse generator will power our critical items during such times.

The Westinghouse WGen5300DFcv is easy to put together with a great owner’s manual and instructions. It started right up in 37°F/3°C weather after I put it together. It ran on gas and Propane without a problem when I was checking it after I put it together.

Easy to put the wheel kit on. Fired up in just a couple of pulls using Propane. Will use it for limited whole house emergency backup. Sound level much less than all the leaf blowers in my neighborhood. At 50' cannot even hear it inside. Wish it was tri-fuel as I have LNG at the house.

We recently purchased this to prepare for hurricane season. Setup went pretty quickly and we were able to get it started quickly on our propane tank. It’s nice to be able to run both on propane and gas. And, the wheel kit is great to be able to move it around as needed.

I purchased this product one month ago to prepare for the fall storm season and for any possible power outages during the winter months. The generator arrived quickly and was an easy assembly. I have not used it yet and will update my review after I have actually used the generator.

One of two air cleaner cover clamp brackets was not formed with the proper dimensions and simply vibrates during operation and provide no retention force. I was able to correct the dimension sufficiently with two vice grip pliers. Otherwise, set up was uneventful and the unit functioned properly for the outlets I tested.

Worked great first time, Helene, with no issues and ran for 6 hours on propane, still had some propane left when power came back on. Went to start up in the aftermath of Milton and nothing. Called support and said it sounds like battery. Went to place to charge battery since no power and after light turned green brought it back and tried starting up, nothing... Went to check battery and dead again after only being unplugged for 10 minutes tops.

When Hurricane Beryl hit, we were without power for over 5 days. This generator was our saving grace. Not only did it give us countless hours of power, it was so easy to get it started! Not to mention that gas was scarce so it's ability to use propane WORKED LIKE A CHARM. I definitely recommend this product to everybody.
