Wanted to upgrade, so just purchased this recently after some research and finding it to be highly rated. Only for a couple of hours, but literally the very next day the power went out. Had already set it up the day before so fired it up, plugged it in and worked like a champ. Much quieter also, than the dinosaur I had before. So far, very happy with it.

I bought this generator because it can run on propane . This was what I was looking for ( I didn't want to worry about gas stabilization during non use).It solved my need for a backup power system when I loose city power due to a storm. I gave it 4 stars due to no electric start .

I received the unit today and was pleased with it. It was well packed and easy to access. The instructions are plain and easy to read. I assembled it and started it at about a 10% load and was surprised by how quiet it is. The panel is well laid out and easy to use. Used it with gasoline today. My plans are to use it with propane when I can get it connected to my tank.

purchased this generator at my local club they had it in a great display area where it got my attention. the fact that it was dual fuel is a great advantage when R VING. the fuel being propane of choice because of safety. just a great product because of the fact that they build very large motors and electric Transformers and many others. The name WESTINGHOUSE IS WELL KNOWN IN THE INDUSTRY AND ALL OVER THE WORLD

We had hurricane Sally then we had hurricane Zeta pass through our area. We did not have power and needed a generator for light keeping our freezer and refrigerator cold. We purchased This Westinghouse 5300 dual fuel generator. We purchased dual fuel because gas was in short supply and figured that if gas was not available we could use our propane tanks we use for grilling. This saved our food in the freezer and refrigerator. The power from this generator also allowed us to use our TV which kept us informed in what was going on in our area.

nothing else to buy when you take this unit home - only your fuel choice - everything else is provided in the box. - wheels,pre-assembled and attached protective frame with fold away handle,oil,funnel,propane hose with regulator and tool kit - WOW !!

I have assembled and prepped, but have not used yet. Mostly assembled but did assemble stand feet and wheels, as well as add oil. Parts were very sturdy and easy to assemble. I used synthetic oil (5w-30) that instructions recommend, instead of what came with it. All-in-all, seems very well-built and sturdy. I'll update after use.

I purchased the generator in case of emergency and to my surprise, a high winds storm nocked out the power in my area. The house was getting colder and I was afraid the water pipes will freeze. I took the generator out of the box and followed the super easy instructions to assemble the wheels and rubber feet. I was getting ready to fill with oil and start using it when the power was restored and no longer need the generator. I'm glad because I read in the instructions about the break in period for the first hour.

bought this generator last week Ive used it twice now. easy to start. and seem to run good on half power. love the dual fuel part.. only ran it on gas this time so hopping the propane runs as well as gasoline one small flaw is chock switch seems a bit flimsy hope it holds up but for the price great generator ..

I bought this generator a month ago. It has to be outside for obvious reasons, but also has to be covered from the elements. I have a well ventilated generator house that I’ve been using for years, but this generator won’t work in it. Very disappointing. If only there were the availability of a kit to add on exhaust, I’d give it five stars. As it is, I have to go out and turn it off and cover it up every time it rains. Makes no sense to have a piece of equipment that must be covered, and it not be able to be covered.
