I have used these before for very small jobs.. they're fine for that! But as I prepare a family member's house to be sold, I learned quickly the Magic Eraser (even the "4X Stronger") has a very limited use-life before totally crumbling! Combine that fact with a large job, limited funds and only my own man power, I quickly learned to use only when necessary and as last resort! Any surface other than flat paint, I clean first with dry duster, then use soap/cleaner and water. Whatever that doesn't get, I use Clorox Cleanup and a scrub brush/sponge. Only when those fail can I afford to use the Magic Eraser. Flat paint is more difficult because depending on dirt/mark/stain, it's easy to scrub paint off. I try soap and water first and use sparingly. Magic Eraser crumbles even quicker on these walls. Sad fact I learned the hard way, it would have been cheaper, especially on trim and baseboards, to wipe them down and just repaint! This house was remodeled in the past 4 years with only 2 people living in it. They didn't have a dirty home so I'm shocked by the supplies I've had to use to clean properly! I'm hoping Mr. Clean will keep trying to get these to last longer! I'd certainly be more apt to use (and recommend) them if they can accomplish that!

I have used the magic eraser many times and never had a problem until now. I used it on a spot on the exterior of my house hoping to remove a mark. Instead of removing the mark, it left a stain on my house that looks like the spot is always wet. I'm afraid I'll have to get my house painted to cover it, unless anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix it?

Marketing/Sales is based on affordability instead of quality. Why not advertise as “New and improved”, providing one quality product for all? The least expensive (which still costs too much), is not worth the money spent. The Magic Eraser falls apart immediately upon use, requiring the use of more erasers to get the job done. While the most expensive Magic Eraser works great, and does allow for getting the job done, with one eraser.
Why not save money by producing one quality eraser, and passing on the savings onto the consumer?

We were so happy when our shiney black new appliances arrived a few weeks ago. We noticed it was hard to get the streaks off so I went searching for a solution. I tried a basic kitchen wipe which worked okay but I was set on trying the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Sheets. Seeing the appliances on the box I thought this may be just the thing to work and they were so soft! THEY SCRATCHED MY BRAND NEW MICOWAVE!!! Then I read do not use on shiney dark, stainless steel or polished finishes. That is just about evey appliance out there! I think they appliances should be taken off the box. I know they work on walls. But not on my brand new microwave! Now I am on to finding a solution. Any ideas out there to buff out the scratches?

I love these things, although the package I bought recently doesn't have the fresh scent that provides not only the sparkling clean tub, tile, walls but leaves behind a fresh scent as well. I've been using them for over 10 years and hope they continue to make.the fresh scent.

I used Mr. Clean Magic Eraser while visiting my daughter and her family. Grandma likes to clean. When my granddaughter wanted to show me her tap moves on the kitchen floor we didn't realize it would leave big scuff marks. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser came to the rescue. Granddaughter so pleased she could do it herself.

This product started disintegrating nearly immediately rendering it useless in cleaning my tub. The cleaning agent in the sponge did seem to work, but if you cant use the sponge beyond a small 12 in area before needing to throw it away it isn't a good purchase. I've seen your responses to other about this same complaint about how it is made to break down over time & use. But come on, almost immediately is a bit ridiculous.

I bought these three times over the last two years. At first, I thought maybe I was just getting a 'bad batch'. But, after three separate purchases, I won't be buying these again. The tear/rip almost immediately - even on smooth surfaces like an enamel sink, countertop, etc.

We want to get our house ready to sell and would like to avoid painting all the walls. I tried M.E. on a wall with various little marks from something bumping into it. The marks largely disappeared but the wall does look a little blotchy. Maybe the M.E. removes the paint (light beige) a bit. Is there a preferred way to move the M.E. on a wall -- up and down strokes, across? Larger area than the spot?

THIS PRODUCT IS THE BOMB.COM!!!!! It normally takes me at least 20 mins to clean my tub and shower walls. I was in shock at how it literally erase off all the dirt and soap scum in seconds. I was done in 3 mins!!!!! No harsh cleaning products that have you choking and coughing. No backaches from bending and scrubbing. THANK YOU!!!! for creating this PRODUCT!!!!! It is truly magic. Now I'm going to clean my kitchen and if it works the same on grease I will be back to write another review. Thanks again.
