[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The scratchy side of the sponge works great on things like my sink, the bottoms of pans, and other things that won't let bits of food get stuck in the scrubby green mesh. I don't like food to get stuck, so I don't use it on pans that have food stuck to them, but that's just me. I like that it doesn't scratch my porcelain sink, or the bottoms of pans. Disclosure: I was sent this sponge in order to get my honest opinion about it.

Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge has been a staple in my household for many years! I have used it for everything from scrubbing my stainless steel kitchen sink to scrubbing down rust off of an old refrigerator. I sometimes have tried other products that claim to work better, like erasers that are supposedly magic, or steel wool pads, but I always find that my handy Heavy Duty Scotch Brite Scrubber Sponge is the one that works the best. I apply the pressure to determine how hard I want it to work; no scratches in my surfaces and I always get all the dirt and grime off! Thank you, Scotch Brite! Please don't ever stop making this magic!

I have never owned a dishwasher (never wanted to) and have used these sponges for what seems like decades to wash dishes and they have never failed me. But within the last few months or longer I have noticed that they seem to be thinner and fall apart more easily. I have to replace then more frequently than usual. I have been a faithful user but now I am reconsidering my options.

This product seems to have changed over the last years. The sponge itself is much thinner, and now the green scrubbing section releases green powder all over after taking it from the package. It disintegrates and in some cases cannot be used for intentional purpose. Disappointing.

The scrub part on the reverse of the sponge is great for scrubbing black marks from pots and pans out of your sink even without a cleanser. It is easy on the hands and eliminates buying two individual products. Scotch Brite is the favorite sponge for me and I have been using this product since it came out and buy no other brand.

I have tried numerous pads cleaning my house but always come back to Scotch Heavy Duty scrub pads. Especially for my bath tub and general bathroom area - these pads can hold up to the tough task - where other scrub pads fall apart or disappear before the job is done. Scotch pads are my try and true cleaning pad and I am always pleased with the results. Scotch Heavy duty pads will always be the product we use in my house.

I am very pleased with the work I receive from the Scotch Brite heavy duty sponge. I use several of the sponges for cleaning in the kitchen, bathroom, and even in the garage. Other sponges fall apart after one use, but not the Scotch Brite sponge. Great product!

My family has used these products forever, and I can remember using Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge when I was very young cleaning up the kitchen counters and pots and pans and other hard to clean items. They last for a long time and I often have to remember to change them when they start getting funky. I just move the old one to under the sink and the one under the sink goes to the garage for my husband to use.

I use scotch brite heavy duty cleaning sponges for all my cleaning jobs. I use them for the toilet,tub and sinks. I use them in and on my cars. I use them for dishes,pots and pans. I use them for spills. They work for anything that needs cleaning. I will never switch.One side scrubs without damaging and the other wipes up. They are excellent!
