The dark green side of the heavy duty sponge will take scratch marks off stainless steel sinks and pots. Fantastic porduct as the little scratchs kept the sink from looking clean and caused it to grab dirt and grese causing it to become actually dirty faster. And yet it does not marr my delicate stuff like china and is easy on my hands. You would think anything that would clean steel would scratch like crazy but it doesn't.

I've been using scotch-brite scrubbers for longer than I can remember and the generic version is definitely no substitute. They seem to last a lot longer when you run them through the dishwasher or wet thoroughly (never dry) and put in the micro-wave for 4 min. I highly recommend them.

I have tried very many different types and brands of sponges for my dishes and I have to say I always go back to Scotch-Brite! Since I wash dishes around 3-4 times a day, the sponge really gets its use! The sponge side never smells and the scrubber side never wears away, even when scrubbing a pretty sticky job. Considering how often I wash dishes, I am able to use the same sponge for around 2 weeks! Thats a long time! Thank you for continuing to make an excellent product that my family has always used!

It helps take the work out of doing the dishes and I can wipe down my counter tops and stove top all without switching tools.

Have used this for 30 years no complaints until recently. This sponge used to last for such a long time now I use it a few times and it starts to break. Please go back to the old design and construction whatever you did to change it is defective!!!!!

I've been cleaning a woman's house for her that hasn't had a serious cleaning in quite some time. It's that kind of "caked on", "baked on", "it takes an army" mess that only a Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge can handle. Scotch Brite saves me time and energy so that I have time to tackle the messes that are everywhere else... Like the windows, the laundry, the vacuuming...:)

Ive been the type of girl that really hates cleaning those pans that have caked up grease and grime. I would buy cheap pans and if they got really dirty, instead of using one of those cheap sponges we use to buy that would have me soaking and scrubbing soaking and scrubbing, I would just throw the pan out. My husband bought the Scotch-Brite heavy duty sponges home for me to try and wow!!! what a difference, no hard scrubbing, my arms were not tired and best of all Im saving money by not throwing out my pans.

I've been buying these 3M sponges for 15 years. I could tell immediately when I opened a new package that the sponge was a LOT thinner in my hand. They don't work as well (less sponge to soak up liquid) and the green layer separates from the sponge at the corners. Junk product now. I'm not buying anymore 3M anything.

my son decided to cook........bad idea. i am not sure what he made that night but i had to soak my pan for two days. i ruined a couple sponges i had and decided to go buy a stronger one. i bought scotch brite heavy duty sponge and was able to make my pan look like new. i was able to use the sponge after that as well. i was happy and so was my son. he would have had to buy me a new pan. since then, i do not use any other sponges. these are the best!
