I really don't remeber life without Scotch Scrubbing Sponges. I have used them everywhere in the house for hundreds of different uses. They clean shoe marks off tile floors, fingerprints off light switch plates, adhesive goo from stickers on everything, congealed stuff (?) in the bottom of the fridge, and food stuck to dishes, pots, and pans. And, I have also used them to get pine sap (Christmas tree), super glue, and paint off my hands. Scrubbies last a long time considering the amount of use they get from me. I'm hate to finally have to toss one out but I do love the fresh new odor and soft feel of a new Scrubbing Sponge.

I just wanted to write you a note of nostalgia. When i was a young'n, my mom always used Scotch-Brite sponges. Now at 83 years old, she still uses them and I use them too. I love their quick absorbency, bright colors, and sturdiness to survive scrubbing. Since this year has been a hard one for many of my husbands family, I am making household items baskets for Christmas presents for each of them. I will be including Scotch-Brite sponges in each of them. I just want to say thank you for such a great product that has lasted years of beating the competition and giving me a lifetime of memories. It's amazing how when ones parents get older the little memories mean everything.

We have a Cleaning service and always trust & rely on Scotch Brite Heavy duty sponges to get all the dirt and grime up. We trust them for getting all stains up or scum out of the showers and sinks and any kind of countertop or tile! The are rated NUMBER ONE with us!!! Always 5 stars!!! We have no dishwasher so all dishes are done by hand in our house. We've tried many sponges. I must say these are our favorite one. They don't fall apart and leave chunks on the dishes like the cheap sponges. They scrub our dried on food without us needing steel wool pads, yet they don't scrape our "good" dishes or non-stick pots and pans. And our dishes come out clean and shiny! They are my favorite sponges!

I lovvvvve these sponges for cleaning the house, because they not only of course are tough enough to scrub a bathtub or tile floor clean, they are great on gently scrubbing marks off the painted white walls without ruining the finish, and most amazingly ---- its the only type of scrubber that reacts with metals in a way that all others do not -- when I use it to scrub the sink drain ring at teh bottom of sinks and tubs, it removes all the tarnish in seconds! No other scrubby does it that way. I truly think there is some chemical reaction that happens because its so fast! So that is what makes these sponges with the green backing so special to me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this on a number of things that are harder to clean. I have an older frig with the kind of textured type handles (white). It cleaned that up nicely. It's invaluable in the kitchen for the scrubbing jobs. I would recommend several b/c of cross contamination. It also works great on outdoor things, grills, furniture. I even tried it on the dogs nylon collar-after I soaked and rubbed it there was still some areas that were not quite clean and the sponge took it right off! It was especially efficient on things that weren't real smooth-such as the frig handles and dog collar. It took way less elbow grease to receive better results. And the scrubbiness of the sponge meant being able to use less chemical cleaners.

I have used this sponge for more than 30 years now. I have tried other sponges in the past, but they just didn't do the job correctly, and never lasted as long. The main thing for me was the cleaning part, I have boys and with them growing up there were dozens of boys in my home throughout the years and those boys grew up to be men, and the cooking is more and more so i need a good cleaning sponge and the Scoth Brite Heavy Duty Sponge has been right there helping me along the way with my cleaning chores all these years. I love the scotch brite brand and will always use it. I love the way this sponge takes off baked on food and grease without hesitation. there is no problems with this sponge. i also love the way that when using it the sponge doesnt come apart and get destroyed on the first usage.
