- 5 out of 5 stars review10/10/2011I like to cut my Heavy Duty Scotch Brite Scrub Sponge into thirds. We use a third for cleaning our veggies, one third for rinsing dishes for the dishwasher and one third for kitchen cleaning. Once or twice a week we replace the sponges. Excellent Product!!
Many Uses for One Scrub Sponge!

As seen in the photos attached, the sunk had some staining Using the Scotch-Brite Heavy duty scrub sponge, the stains were effortlessly removed and the sink is shiney and clean. Unlike the other scrub sponges available, these are designed for heavy duty cleaning and my scratch softer surfaces.

They don't feel "cheap" in your hand, and they are just about the perfect size (maybe a tad too big) for most jobs. You can't go wrong with these if you have a job that calls for a heavy duty sponge.

Before Scotch Brite Heavy duty Sponges, I tried soaking, I tried dish soaps of all types, I even tried cleanser nothing really worked well, and I was in the kitchen longer than I wanted to be just cleaning up the mess. These sponges freed me from the insanity of my three enemies from breakfast, and burned on stubborn food as well. It's so nice to find something dependable, that lasts a good long time for my money.

It has not fallen apart. I do not have many things it can be used on as it will scratch them all. I was able to get some cooked on residue out of my crockpot. Nothing else I tried worked. The thing that I did not like about the sponge is that as I was washing yellow dye was coming out of the sponge. I rinsed the sponge a couple of times before using it and the dye still came out. Beware of this if it is something that would bother you. Overall it is a good sponge. I received this sponge at no charge so that I could review the product. I rely on reviews when making purchases so you can be assured that this review is bas...

The aggressive nature of the green material sure takes the place of the soap impregnated steel wool I used to use. The perks are no rusty mess after I use these, and no metal shrapnel and no metal splinters to dig out f my fingers. These are great for paint and body work prep too!

The green pad scratched the window glass wherever I had used it. I suspect it would also scratch auto glass as well but I'm not going to try it. I note that the directions mention that the product may scratch in very small text, but also note the Non-Scratch blurb in much larger text indicating the pad is good for stove tops and pots and pans.

The Scotch Brite heavy duty scrub sponges are a necessity when I clean. I have two houses in particular where I need to use the heavy duty scrubbing sponges. One house always has coffee stains in their kitchen sink. It is not a surface that I have to worry about getting scratched up. The woman I clean for is always amazed that I get those stains out. I will continue to use the sponges for as long as I'm cleaning. Thanks!

This sponge can be used anywhere in the home. I use it to scrub pots and pans that have baked on stains and it works great.I use the soft sponge side to clean my counter tops and stove and it has worked well. It can also be used to scrub the bathroom tub and sink. I have never tried to use it on my outside grill but I am sure it would work good.

However, I don't always cook things that are easy cleanup. Some of my favorite things to cook are slow roasted or made in a pan on the stove producing hours of crusty build up to be cleaned later. I have made the mistake of buying brands other than Scotch-Brite Sponge and Scrubbing Sponges. I find that the Green Scrubby Layer comes loose almost imediately, resulting in it comming completely off by the second scrubbing. I don't have to worry about this at all with my hard working heavy duty helpers from Scotch-Brite! They hold up despite the torture that I put them thru! I love them!

I ran out a while ago and my family thought I was nuts I had to stop what I was doing and go to the store to get a new one. I have stainless steel cookware and this is the only thing I use on it. Soak for a few minutes and than go at it with my sponge - can't live with out my heavy duty sponge. I now keep a few under my sink so I never run out again Thanks Theresa

Scotch Brite offers the choice of sizes, pleasing colors, feels right, does an excellent job, and most of all will not seperate and come apart until completely worn out and ready to be replaced with the next Scotch Brite scrub sponge. Don't peel vegetables-heavy duty scrub sponge is excellent for scrubbing vegetables rather than peeling away the nutrients.
