One thinks Prime is better but these guys were not marbled with enough fat and were tough.

Can't be prime. Cuts hard and you can barely chew it.

Very tender sirloins. We had for Christmas dinner. Very lean.

The first time I bought this particular item a few months ago they were absolutely fabulous! Tender, juicy, and a wonderful flavor. No matter if I cooked them on the stove top or grill they were super tasty! Last time, just before Memorial Day, I noticed the slices were quite uneven, and had a lot more grizzled and though sinew than previous purchase. Sadly, these were for company as well, but I was happy that at least they were juicy, tender and tasty aside from the negatives. Because of a knee and ankle injury I've been using pickup for my orders. There is no way I would have picked those out myself. Usually they do great with selections, but of the few disappointed buys I've found at home, this was the worst. I'll be buying these again, but will add to my list of items I scrutinize more closely. For people who mention the item going out dated and pitching them, that was a sad waste. Beef steaks may hold several days past their use by dates... Easily determined by a good smell test!

I have never left a review on Sam's before. We have bought and grilled Sam's Choice Sirloin Steaks for years, in the past and they were so good and tender. We like our steaks grilled medium rare. About a month ago we bought and grilled Sam's Choice Top Sirloin and were really disappointed in the quality. They were tough and gristly. These Prime Sirloin Steaks were a splurge purchase after recovering from major dental work. These steaks were more like Select purchased at Super1 or Walmart, tough, chewy and gristly. To be honest I don't think that we will be purchasing steak at Sam's anymore.

We wanted to try "prime" beef, because we really like Sams meat department. What a disappointment. It looked fine in the package and grilled nicely, but when served, it was awful !! So tough and very little flavor. We're going back to choice ribeyes - hope they don't ruin them.
