This thing is great. Previously I was watching YouTube and Netflix using my Xbox 360 (old, I know) and that took forever to load, and was not user friendly. This unit turns on immediately and is lightning fast. And the remote is excellent. Fits perfectly in my hand and it has a Siri button to speed things up even further. A must-buy in my opinion if you don’t like cable TV

Connects to WiFi instantly, has Ethernet option if you prefer the old school wired connection. Has a bunch of storage compared to the WiFi only version. Remote is well solidly built, and is rechargeable so you don’t have to go to the store to buy batteries and includes a volume control. This product is great overall and very satisfied with it. I’ve owned this product since February, and haven’t had any issues. This is definitely worth the upgrade from an old Apple TV that’s outdated. I have it currently connected to a TMY brand projector that I received from Christmas.

Cons: 1st smart TVs offer the same apps for free, so there is no need to purchase. 2nd I have high-end Bose and Samsung sound bars and the Apple TVs have audio problems where the sound goes out. It happens multiple times throughout the day. It drives me up the wall, and I usually switch to the TV app when I’m watching a new show or Movie. Pros: 1st It brings a simple UI that everyone understands how to navigate. I have my parents-in-law living with me and it is easy for them to understand. 2nd You can have FaceTime show up on the TV. So there is no need for everyone crowding around the phone to see and speak to relatives. If it did not have the FaceTime feature, I would say this is not worth the money. The Facetime feature requires an Iphone to use.

I decided to get the Apple TV because I heard that the ESPN app had multi-view screens available when using it. Despite owning a few Rokus, I felt the need to upgrade my 75" Roku TV with the Apple TV since the Roku ESPN app doesn't offer this feature. However, I have been disappointed because the multi-view feature has not worked as expected, and I often receive a message telling me to upgrade in order to see all the games in multi-view. Additionally, I find the Apple remote too sensitive and it is often difficult to navigate through the various apps and games.

after a few months the remote volumn button and mute button stopped working. found out this is xomm9n on the product. Apple replaced the device (not the remote as it is acdevice issue). New bix worked fine for 2 months and same thing happened. went back to my gen2 version.

I'd love to give this 5 stars, but I bought it specifically for Tivo app that runs on iPhone and tablet. App does not run on Apple TV :( Who'd thunk there would be an app that runs on phone but not run on Apple TV?

Exactly what the family needed to get away from those laggy tv apps. Having everything streamlined in one place is the ONLY way it should be. Easy setup excellent choice of setup.

I’ve bought at least 3 remotes and they all stop working within a few months. This one I bought in February, it’s now barely April and the volume buttons stopped working
