After reading the reviews and reliability of the LG products my wife and I are happy to own this washer. The speed of a normal wash cycle and capacity of the washer are excellent. Cant wait for the Dryer to die so we can upgrade the the compatible LG model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After the first couple uses of my new LG washer, I noticed how the clothes and other items came out cleaner than with my old machine. Even even the bottoms of socks are white again. In addition, I just plain like relying on the sensory function. The little bit of extra care to wipe out the gasket and door are worth it. After one month, I am very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer to replace our 2011 WM3875HVCA. Several improvements were noted including the door seal design and the shorter cycle times. The ThinQ capability is a "nice to have", but hardly essential. Unfortunately, the designers mechanized the ThinQ connection so that you can only have letters in the network name (SSID). It's relatively common to have some special characters in SSID's (e.g., underscores and dashes) and this restriction can be very limiting in making a connection to a home network. The ThinQ "Download" function is interesting, but LG really missed an opportunity by not allowing the user to build a custom cycle and download that. Our 2011 model had a "Programmable" button that could be configured to whatever configuration the user desired. Not possible in this model, but hopefully something that can be added to the app. Another big miss is that the control panel settings are still not backlit. This makes the settings very hard to read in anything but bright room light. Using a segmented display, rather than a color LCD display, is also a minor miss. Segmented displays can make it hard to read certain characters. Overall, the WM400HBA is a worthy successor to the WM3875 and highly recommened.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this washer a couple of weeks ago. Clothes and towels come out clean! I have some dry clean only and used the steam feature. I did each dress separately that came out perfect. I put the LG app on my phone and set up was easy. Let’s me know stuff is done I can pause it and there’s a bunch of wash settings to use. I don’t have any wool clothing but there’s a setting for it. No regrets at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was looking at a brand with Bio Guard seals but the sales person talked me into LG based on consumer ratings. I looked and studied W/D units for two months hoping that my 18 year old washer would make it until I made up my mind. Unit is quiet. Have had no issues. Getting connected to internet was trying t say the least. Instructions are hard to follow, but all at once it connected. No sure what i did, but really like that it tells when cycle is done. Expectations for long trouble free use will have to wait and see.

We have had other brands and this does a great job. We are very satisfied and look forward to many years of use with this. It is an added feature that we have this "smart" washer and dryer paired with our LG TV's and are alerted when the wash is completed, while we are watching a program!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this a few days ago and have doe 8 loads of laundry so far. I replaced my 15 year old Maytag with this. I do like the fact that this does not have an agitator like the top load washers do. At first I thought it would be weird, but I can actually wash my larger comforters and pillows in this machine. I'm still getting used to all the new settings that come with this machine. But my clothes come out clean and it does the job. The spin cycle is quiet, I actually had to listen to make sure the washer was running. Not used to not hearing my machine shake and make a ton of noise. I did notice tho that I do have to wipe down the door in between washings as water does cling to it. Doesn't leak, just hangs there.

We bought this product that we thought it was great, exciting and dependable. It is easy understand and follow the features and instructions. We are optimistic of this washer for the best of our need.
