Consistent Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the washer about a month ago to replace my previous 12 year old LG washer. I was extremely happy with the old washer and based on the quality decided I would stick with LG. I have had other washer products in the past but none compared to LG.

Great washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet, efficient, effective, good-looking, feature loaded washer. It does the core work of washing clothes very well and it does it resourcefully and conveniently with text notifications when it's done. We love it, especially with the abundance of laundry we need to do (3 kids).

My clothes are stain free!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is so much better at getting stains out of my childrens clothing. I love the app that goes with it and the monthly reports it emails me. The only thing I would change is I wish it had the ability to change the default settings for each type of load rather than having to adjust their preset settings every time.

This is an amazing washer!

I purchased this washer a month ago. This is my second LG Front Loading Washing Machine, and I am really happy with it. In my family of 6 I can finish all my laundry within one day and the the alert sent to my phone when the cycle is complete is so helpful. I love the energy efficient settings and how clean my clothes are when the cycle is finished.

Drawers are ugly and ruined my laundry room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are not as quiet as my previous 14-year-old Whirlpools. The thing that bugs me the most is the black strip on the drawers, which makes them look ajar even when completely closed. In addition, from the side, which is the view I have as I enter my laundry room, you can see the metal brackets that attach the drawers to the dryer. The washer and dryer were on display at a big box, but the drawers were not, and they are poorly designed. I would have never bought this set if I had known. Did I mention that the small Tide bottle doesn't fit in the drawer? If you are stacking or have custom cabinets, then fine, but if you need the drawers, do not buy!!! I wish I could attach a photo. You would be as sad as I am right now. Bad, LG!

Wouldn't buy again

It's a nice looking machine but only a teeny tiny amount of detergent can be used like a few drops or water leaks out of the bottom. Towels are always needed on the floor at the bottom left corner in front or there's water ruining floors. Repairman that recommended this machine said it's not a mechanical issue or hole in the seal but a concentrated detergent issue. Clothes sometimes smell mustier than before they were washed! Only the heavy duty feature doesn't leak and sometimes that does. Odor if awful even after leaving door open when not in use. I run the tub clean cycle constantly and just bought seal cleaner for the moldy seals around door. It uses very little water so the clothes just keep slopping around in the same dirty water. I want my top load agitator model back!!!

Amazing Washer But....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing washer. Super sleek, love that it's a front loader so my 5' wife can do the laundry without a step stool and love the real-time phone alerts. Only dislike is that the commercial and salesman made it seem like you can remote turn on your washer or dryer from your phone. The only way you can actually do this is if you physically turn the power on button on the washer or dryer, then hold down the remote access button on the washer/dryer for 3 seconds, each time you plan to use the remote access. Still 9/10 though.

Loving this so far!

My old washer lasted 18 years, but I knew I wanted my replacement to be an LG. You only need to look in Consumer's Report to see how many LG washers are in the top 10!! It's sleek, quiet and super smart (with it's many wash choices). I have a feeling I might never have to replace this beauty!!

LG Washer & Dryer Thumbs Up Rating

After the initial 2 weeks post delivery of my new LG washer and dryer, I am happy to say that I made a superior purchase decision. I recommend this LG washer and dryer set. The details below. The Pros: - Many choices for cycles, spin speed, temp, soil level, etc. - Capacity is large, but the units handle small loads well, also. - Runs whisper quiet, smooth, and solid as a rock (zero vibrations, though I haven't done a very large load yet). - Clothes came out clean and properly spun out (very little moisture retained). - The load complete notification chime sounds like an ice cream truck. Silly? Yes, but I love hearing it! Haha. The Cons: - So many choices; maybe too many choices! And if you want to deviate from the preset defaults, you can, but it's lots of tapping each individual setting on the LED screen. Time consuming! I wish there was a memory function where I could program my "normal" cycle settings and then recall it with 1-button press. - The LED screen is very small font and not overly lit. If you're older or sight impaired, be advised. I need my reading glasses and a flashlight to choose my combinations of the many options. Someday, I'll have it memorized, hopefully. - The units are big... measure your space accurately for fit (I did so all good). Be aware that if you're shorter (I'm 5'1"), reaching over the units is a stretch! All of that said, I give these units a thumbs up and would buy them again. The only outstanding question is maintenance and durability. LG has a good track record so I hope my units perform well for years to come.
