[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer and matching dryer were upgrades to a pair of front-loaders that were 15 years old and no longer operating in an ideal fashion. I was going to choose the 9000 series Signature pair but our laundry room doesn't have enough space to fit larger machines. As it is with the 4000 series, we now have larger total capacity in frames that are the same size as the outgoing old pair. Washing performance is excellent. At first we thought the washer wasn't actually saturating or soaking some clothes because after spin, some articles were almost completely dry. It far exceeds the performance of the old machine, including with athletic wear (non-cotton shirts, for example) and the body odor or sweat smells being locked into the fabric - this does not happen with our new washer. The Turbo feature is pretty cool, allowing for a much shorter wash cycle with no decrease in performance. The tub and detergent drawers seem mold resistant and anything but flimsy, and having a tub clean reminder and special cycle is a big bonus. Along with the matching dryer, this washer has problems with presets and customizability. I would like to be able to change the water temp, spin speed, addition of steam, etc., and most of the presets do not allow this. It is most frustrating since almost all clothes and sheets now do not recommend anything over cold/warm water, or in the case of drying, anything over low heat. For LG to lock their presets into only certain water temps, or certain heat levels in the dryer, greatly reduces the usefulness and value of the presets on both machines. Overall, a huge upgrade to 15-year-old front loader technology, and a high-quality machine, for sure. I just wish I could do more of what I want on any given preset or cycle setting.

It's very simple to use and I love having all my LG appliances synced with the app for timely notifications (cycle complete, etc.).

I am following the recommendation very closely to keep the washer free of any odors and so far haven't had any issues at all. Would definitely buy again but am sure this set will last quite awhile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this LG machine 3 months ago. I was excited to get this washing machine but when I did I was not happy with how much noise it makes. If the could change it I would. I would even take a lose.

I have not had it long but it is a nice washer. More quiet and smaller footprint than my Maytag. Lots of options and the WiFi capability is something that I did not think I needed. It turns out it’s a great thing. Helps you remember that it’s done so clothes done. Also, the magnetic door is huge. It reduces the chance of smells and allows the rubber and washer to dry.

I never wanted a front load machine, but When our prior top load failed, it seemed this machine had the best reviews. Boy were they right . Its so easy to use and has so many great features, don’t know what I did without it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it. Seems to work well and is pretty quiet. Also doesn’t walk around when I in use like my old one did. I saw complaints about the display not being completely illuminate and it’s not but are people doing their laundry with the lights off? I don’t think the illuminate display matters. There’s more setting than I even care to figure out but wouldn’t consider that a con.

This is my first front load washer and I love it. It uses less water, laundry has more room to tumble, and the LG washer is very easy to use. Love the ability to control it from my smartphone. Great features to ensure items are cleaned thoroughly. Online support is excellent. Manual provides lots of info.
