[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After three week of service it is performing as advertised, no bad surprises. Washer is extremely quiet and stable besides being very frugal with water usage. One nice attribute is the short washing cycle for most of the normal loads. The washer display even tells you what the length of the cycle will be, very convenient. The WiFi app has also performed very well. With the laundry in the basement and the washer’s quiet operation, it informs us when the wash load is done, saving any unnecessary trips down to the laundry. Speaking of the WiFi, I had a very nice and knowledgeable gentleman, Thomas, in the LG tech department help me set up the app.

After about a month of usage, I really like this LG Washer. Like the different settings for different types of washing. Larger drum capacity than my old model and should be much more energy efficient even though my other one was a front load as well. Did not think the bottom shelving was worth the cost and instead used that money to get a 5 year warranty on it. Does a great job washing and getting the clothes pretty dry on high spins. Would buy this again.

I watched a hundred washer reviews before I settled on LG. I went to all the big box stores to see the models and decided on this brand new model with no reviews available. I am very happy that this one is in my home. It's very nice looking, looks well made and easy to use. Less than 30 minute quick cycle is a huge plus and you'll be happy if your using an LG to get the job done. The washing machine is working properly every time, no vibrations and everything comes out very clean. I would highly recommend you buy an LG product for excellent quality. It replaced a 22 year old top loader and I wish I had gotten an LG years ago. Thank you LG!

The door lock feature is highly annoying. It stays locked far too long. And sometimes, even when you're putting in another load, once you re-close the door, it locks again. Tonight I forgot to put the pod in, did not hit start, just tried to reopen--nope, locked again. The idea that the "fix" for this is to unplug it is unacceptable. I'd have to be a contortionist to the reach the plug in our washer closet. Also the door STAYS locked long after the lock light is out, which if memory serves is in the owner's manual. Not sure why they would ever put out a washer that they know does that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this unit to replace a GE Pro top loading washer which was only 6 years old and the internals imploded resulting in gravel like pieces inside the wash basin. Costs to repair this item were extremely high and given age, we decided to bite the bullet and replace the broken GE washer and its companion dryer We had prior experience with LG washers in our prior residence and knew their quality and reliability. Hence LG was a logical choice to replace the GE product. We really appreciated the counsel and advise of the sales consultant at Rosner's Appliances (West Palm Beach, FL) which reviewed with us the options for LG, Samsung, and other washers. We decided on LG based on the features and various selection options available. We particularly liked its feature for remote diagnostics as well as the ability to design and download custom wash cycles to meet our needs. The appliance was delivered in just a few days and the installers took care in setting the equipment up including mounting it on the pedestal, leveling device, checking it worked, etc. We have really enjoyed using the machine which seems to handle large loads without resistance. the manual which accompanies the machine is simplistic and for more details you can download a much more comprehensive manual online from the LG website.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a front load washer and dryer in April. The dryer thru a code. Had have a repairman out. My washer we t our 2 and a half weeks ago. A repairman came out over a week ago and need another part to fix. Over a week later part came in but waiting repairman availability, which is this Friday. I’m currently out the laundromat (3rd time).

Do not buy this washer. Numerous people have complained about a chemical smell like dry cleaning fluid. We have tried to run this washer several times since receiving this washer 3 days ago. We even tried a commercial washer cleaning tablet (afresh). The chemical smell has not dissipated. The chemical odor gives me a headache, which is a sign of neurotoxin exposure. LG wants me to run the washer several more times to get rid of the odor, but many customers who have owned this product complain that the odor does not go away even after a year of use. Save your health and buy another brand of washer. If you don't believe, me, read all the other negative reviews on this product chemical smell written by customers who have owned this product over a long period of time and who cannot get rid of the odor.

I called in and they told me what to do. This also happened to my dryer I just bought the first week. I can I get booklets for my washer and dryer?

I had a previous LG front load washer that was still going strong after 15 years when we sold the house. After moving into a rental with a top load Whirlpool with agitator plate - I was shocked how terrible it was at washing clothes. The clothes never felt, looked or smelled clean. I Purchased this LG WM4000 front load washer during Labor Day sale and it was delivered & set up within a few days. Ordering was all done online and was a smooth and easy process. This new machine is amazing. Everything comes out CLEAN again!!! Plus it fits my quilts and blankets with ease and they turn out great!! I can't tell you what a difference it is over that horrible top load from Whirlpool. As an FYI - I always wash with warm or hot water with small amount of powdered detergent & Borax. Never had a problem in 15 years with my previous front loader from LG with mold/mildew or smells - I always wiped down inside rubber seal and kept door ajar for drying. Also always removed clothes promptly when done for drying. You will never have a problem if you do this. I highly recommend this LG front load washer.
