[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such new technology and I'm oh so lucky. Okay, let me first start off with the fact that I have only used old machines. We would usually only buy used machines or something that was the most basic of machines, so to say I'm blown away by the technology of this machine would be an understatement. I love this machine. I always wanted a front loading machine but was hesitant because of the price and the issues you hear about the rubber getting moldy or breaking down over time. This is new so I can't speak to that part yet but we've not noticed any leaks or any issues around the door. The only issue I have with the door is that it only opens one direction. I can't switch it which is annoying for how I have this set up. Stacking would be no issue. So anyway, the door shuts, you don't need to slam it shut, just gently push it closed. I sometimes haven't been careful about that but it bounces back quickly and then I have to shut it correctly, gently. The tech is slightly overwhelming at first. While it's great for starting loads when I'm on my way home or at ridiculous times in the before dawn making for an easy switch when I'm out of bed, there are also a ton of buttons that I still haven't mastered. I never used any other rinse cycles with my other machines so this is easy but not as intuitive right out of the box. I did spend sometime looking up information on the LG site as well as youtube. I've basically only mastered the regular wash and can sometimes get it to use another cycle and grab the downy from the little soap dispenser but it's also sometimes a hit or miss. With this machine I don't really ever second guess how I do laundry. I just toss in clothes or towels and set it with those preset parameters and then it measures or weighs it. I have to say, it's as ultra creepy as it is cool that the little blinking man is "thinking" and measuring to use the right amount of water for each load. I have yet to notice any issue with over filling the load and have likely underfilled loads in the beginning. I have had to break myself of the conditioning I had with my last machine, that taught me to only fill it so much. This machine has washed ALL THE TOWELS, comforters, clothing for 5 and my husbands heavy fire safety extra heavy jeans and nothing every comes out soaked. The spin is amazing for wringing out every load and I use less time on my dryer because of it. I'm overall amazed at this machine and how nice our clothes clean and how little water we use. I do loads up to 7 times a week and this thing is a great investment.

Just had this delivered today, and it's almost exactly what we were replacing (after having the last one for many years), but it must be noted, and this might not seem like a big deal, but trust me, it is....THERE'S NO DRUM LIGHT IN THIS MODEL! I'm shocked, and feel so let down that there's no mention of a drum light (or lack thereof) on the listing. It's pitch black inside the drum and my laundry room is poorly lit, so I depend on the drum light to see whether I've gotten all the clothes out of the drum when the load is finished. Very disappointed that they removed this feature.

I love my new washer and dryer. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the "manual" is not helpful on how to change some of the settings. A good video should be designed to help a new owner. Changing temperatures is not intuitive and the written manual... which you have to print if you want it in hand, is of little use. LG needs to get someone to write the manual who is clear on what to do at each step of the washing... giving all options and how to change them.

It was time to update my LG washer and dryer after over 15 years of faithful service. They both worked fine but I was anxious to replace them before I had a problem. With regard to the model WM4000HBA washer, it’s amazing what technology advances have taken place in 15 years! The washer/dryer is WiFi enabled so that I can check the cycle progress on my phone and receive Alexa alerts once the cycle is finished. The dryer is paired to the washer so for example when the wash cycle for Towels is complete, the dryer automatically pre-selects the dry cycle for Towels. There are more cycles to choose from than my previous washer and each is much more unique with this model. The cycles are generally shorter, using less water and power with the Turbo Wash functionality. This model also features steam functions. It runs whisper quiet, smooth, and is solid as a rock. This machine is very quiet even on spin cycle. The unit looks great in black steel but a minor complaint is that the door glass is tinted making it difficult to see the wash cycle. The LED panel is also bit hard to see so I need reading glasses and a flashlight if I want to choose any of the many available wash/dry options, but it doesn't diminish my satisfaction with LG.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never had a front load until now and I love it. It only takes 29 minutes for normal loads as apposed to an hour on my old top load. Also love the wifi option so I know when it gets done. Overall love the washer. Will more than likely buy the matching dryer when current one needs replaced.

Didn't think I'd be into the other cycles, but decided to give them a try and YES!! Definitely fun and user friendly. LG is definitely one of my top brands if not the Best.

I love the features, the ease of use, the quietness and how easy it makes it for me to do laundry. The price was reasonable as well!! The only thing missing on the features is a hand wash selection. I used that quite a bit on my other machine. Otherwise then that I love it!!!!

I was extremely happy with the old washer and based on the quality decided I would stick with LG. I have had other washer products in the past but none compared to LG.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer (and dryer) to replace my LG Tromm front loaders that were 16 years old when the washer finally gave out (the dryer was still running well!). The fact that my original ones lasted that long and never broke down in 16 years made me buy another LG set. After 2 weeks with the new set I am very happy with my purchase. I think they perform even better than my original ones since technology has improved a lot in 16 years. They are quite, as the quick cycle is super fast. They fit large loads. They have more wash cycles than my original ones. And the price was very reasonable. I’m very Satisfied.

So many functions to handle all the different types of loads, i.e. towels, rugs, delicates, permanent press. The dryer also has many features so you can chose temperature to prevent wrinkles.
