This dishwasher worked great for about 20 months after purchase. One of the features I really liked is that the door opens slightly 15 minutes prior to the end of the drying cycle, to vent the steam and facilitate the drying process. However... after 20 months of daily use (I live alone), the detergent dispenser has now failed (doesn't open anymore) along with the rinse agent dispenser. I've also noticed that the upper rack is starting to rust. This thing is falling apart way too early.

I wanted the ability to connect to our SmartHub, have a third rack, and be quiet! Our new Samsung hits it out if the park in all three areas. But, I have other features that I never thought of but now appreciate. The ability to see how much time is left in the cycle is so convenient. I try to keep one "water" appliance running at a time so do not use my washer when it's in use. I absolutely love that the door automatically opens when it hits the drying cycle. No more steamy or spotted glasses. Since I started on my own my moms comment to always wash all food off the dishes has been hammered in ny head. I didn't rinse off egg on our breakfast dishes and it came right off. I was amazed. Back to the noise.... its SO quiet you will swear you didn't turn it on. I am so pleased I took the plunge with our new Samsung. I look forward to completing our kitchen with other complimentary appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so pleased with my new Samsung dishwasher with StormWash+ with Smart Dry. It has a beautiful fingerprint resistant stainless steel finish on the exterior but it also has a clean and shiny, stainless steel interior. The namesake feature, StormWash+, beautifully cleans even the dirtiest of dishes. Another one of the many features I love about my new dishwasher is the fact at 42dBA, you can barely hear it while it's in use. I have an open concept floorplan and used to always hear my old dishwasher gurgling and swishing along during the wash cycles, not so with my new Samsung! I’ve questioned if the dishwashing cycle was interrupted, went to check on it and the dishwasher was functioning perfectly, but so quiet you can barely hear it, what a treat. You can see on the control panel the amount of time left in the wash/dry cycle and there are also three led lights that let you know if the dishwasher is in the wash, rinse or dry mode. When you connect your dishwasher to the Samsung SmartThings application there’s no need to check on your super quiet dishwasher. The SmartThings app give you the ability to start, pause, stop, etc. remotely from your phone and if you like, it will alert you when your dishwashing cycle is complete. I love having a third rack at the top level to place the odd sized kitchen utensils such as spatulas, whisks, bottle openers and well as the tops to plastic wear. The center rack is easily adjustable up or down to help accommodate fitting more in the dishwasher, especially helpful when you have taller items like pitchers or large frying pans. The Smart Dry function with the AutoRelease Door system is yet another feature I love about my new dishwasher. Towards the end of the drying cycle the door to the dishwasher automatically pops open approximately 3 inches to allow for air circulation and to better aid in drying and it’s energy saving to boot. All in all, I’m very pleased with my selection of this Samsung dishwasher and I’m going to look to Samsung when purchasing a new range later this year.

This dishwasher has been nothing but trouble since day one. A part was leaking on the first day. Eventually that part was replaced, but the new part continued a slow leak (undetected for a while) until the replacement part just fell off. I've tried to fix that part multiple times, but the leak always comes back. Judging from other reviews, this appears to be a common problem with Samsung dishwashers. Outside of that, the dishwasher doesn't clean nearly as well as my last dishwasher. I don't think I'll be buying another Samsung appliance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try out a new dishwasher that had improvements with drying, as that always seems to be an issue with new dishwashers, including my last dishwasher. After several weeks of use I love the Samsung dishwasher with it's smart dry features! It has several different cleaning and drying options, and I love that it will open at the end of the cycle to improve the dish drying. I've been very happy with the cleaning cycles, there are lots of options to choose from based on your needs, from bottom rack only, to storm wash. I'm also very happy with the rack configuration, it's not overly complicated and is easy to fit all the different dish types on both the top and bottom racks. For those that love Yeti cups as much as me, you can fit a full size Yeti tumbler in the top rack, which was such a pleasant surprise and the only dishwasher I've used that can do that! The stainless finish stays surprisingly clean, even with kids and dog that like to mess with it regularly. The buttons and options are intuitive and I was able to get comfortable with it in short time. I don't see a lot of value in the smart things app for the dishwasher, so haven't used it I highly recommend this dishwasher for anyone looking to upgrade their dishwashing experience and have the dishes actually come out dry after a cycle.

I bought this dishwasher 9 months ago. Recently, the plastic part used to pull the door open got partly broken. We have only used the dishwasher as intended, therefore it points to a design defect. However, Samsung refuses to cover this under the warranty. When I called the customer service, they even blamed it on me.

I generally rate my dishwasher appliances under these criterias: 1) Ease of use and durability 2) Degree of cleanliness 3) Duration of cycles Here are my responses to my criterias above. 1) Incredibly easy to use. This dishwasher has three trays as seen in the picture which allows for multiple and various different items that can be washed in one cycle. The buttons, while they are tactile, are very response and very easy to use. 2) Very clean, and better than my prior generation of a different competing brand. I think what is important is that you choose the right clean cycle, i.e. heavy cycle for a large load of dishes and regular for something lighter. 3) The regular cycle is several hours but you have the optionality for an express cleaning which is very much appreciated. I highly recommend this machine for those looking for a sleek and viable dishwasher for everyday use.

The open concept living area and kitchen were on our list as we love to entertain. However, the existing dishwasher was just too loud for the heart of our home! We have always had great luck with our Samsung appliances, and we knew that the 42 dBA Smart Dishwasher was going to be a gamechanger for us. Not only is the dishwasher very quiet, but it also integrates nicely into our Smartthings home. Following the simple setup instructions, it wasn't long before we were falling in love with the large capacity, efficient cleaning, quiet operation, and job completion notifications that display on our TVs and smartwatch. The stainless steel finish on the inside is easy to clean and the various rack adjustments make cleaning up after a weekday lunch or weekend party a breeze. Something that really impressed us was the top rack that works perfectly for silverware. We were used to the silverware caddies on almost all dishwashers, and this one still comes with one, but we use the top rack exclusively for silverware. It keeps the silverware separate and it makes does a great job cleaning every fork, spoon, or knife, the first time, every time. Additionally, by not using the silverware caddy, and by utilizing the toolless adjustable racks and rack heights, we are finding that our large places and server ware are able to easily fit in one load. These flexible loading options enable us to reduce the number of loads we run and reduce the manual effort of washing these larger items. I cannot express enough how quiet this machine runs! A few steps away and the machine is practically silent! The Smartthings integration for routines and monitoring the status of jobs and machine status is a much-appreciated feature. Also, the door kicks itself slightly open at the end of the job to help the dishes dry more efficiently, and encourages you to put those dishes away. I cannot recommend this dishwasher enough!

Cleans effectively and was very quiet. Love that the door opens automatically when finished. Everything dries without spots!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is AMAZING!!! A quality dishwasher makes such a difference! Here is what I have learned so far from using this dishwasher 1) the dishwasher is super quiet. The comparison between this DW and my previous one is night and day. Normally I would have to turn on the volume on my TV everytime the DW is running. Not this one. I barely notice that it is on. 2) simple design. It looks very nice and simple. 3) electronics are very easy to use. I normally just select NORMAL and off we go! 4) the drying feature is very cool. With about 15 mins left in the drying process, the DW will open to help dry the dishes. This feature is cool as it will help with the smell if you have water left in the DW and it is closed. I had this issue before using my previous DW. I dont foresee this being a problem with this added feature. 5) plenty of rack spaces but one that stands out the most to me that I love is the pull out rack at the top. We use this rack for long pointy items like the chopsticks. In my previous DW, we would put the chopsticks to the right side rack and the chopsticks would always slide down and get stuck between the rack. I haven't found anything negative regarding the dishwasher yet as it does everything I asked for and more!
