Wider and longer than my other mattress

I bought this for my spare bedroom but when I saw that it is wider and longer than the gel foam mattress I have on my own bed I swapped them. It quickly inflated to a full 12 inches and is so far very comfortable. I would say it is medium firm which I like. Will have to wait and see about it's longevity.

Best bedding purchase in decades!

I purchased this mattress because a family member also purchased it and loved it. I have colorectal cancer and sleeping became difficult with the radiation and chemotherapy protocols used to treat my cancer. This mattress has been amazing in the comfort, support and coolness. I've seen more expensive mattress, but not better. This mattress has been much more than advertised. I'm very glad I purchased it.

Jekyll & Hyde

We have had this mattress (12" Serta Sleep-to-go) for about 2 weeks. We bought it to replace a very old sagging pillow top spring mattress in our master bedroom. We were not a fan of the pillow top and have liked firmer beds in the past, so the negative reviews did not scare us. I should note that we have a sleep number in our other bedroom and are happy with it, but it's not great for non-sleeping activities, so we were hoping for an alternative. Shipping wise, the bed came on a Monday instead of the previous Friday that was estimated via email, but that didn't bother us. The box it came in was missing a wheel and part of the box was torn, but again that didn't bother us either. It was easy to unroll and unfold and it fluffed up to almost 12" almost immediately after unrolling it (12" on one side, 11 3/4" on the other an hour in). It had a not pleasant off-gassing smell, so we slept elsewhere the first night, turned on the exhaust fan in the connecting bathroom, and tried it the following night. My experience and my husband's experience on the bed were completely different. I am about 36 years old, 5' 8" tall, and 120 lbs and have slept well on any bed my whole life, cheap hotels included. Every night I slept on this bed I had extreme problems falling asleep (took more than 2 hours each night), woke up pretty close to every hour, and woke up sore through my shoulders, neck, and back in the mornings. I stuck it out for more than 10 days trying different pillows, positions (I sleep on my side, back, and occasionally my stomach), and switching sides of the bed with my husband. There was only very minimal improvement if any and I was still waking up frequently through the night and having numbness and soreness in my elbows and knees, which I've never experienced before. I stopped trying when I got a debilitating headache that lasted 8 hours and seemed to stem from the neck/shoulder/back pain and tightness (my first non-migraine headache in over 20 years). Needless to say, we will be returning the bed. My husband is also 36 years old, just over 6' tall, and weighs about 230 lbs. He generally sleeps on his side, and sometimes his stomach or back. He literally has had the best two weeks of sleep in his entire life on this bed. For the 17 years I have known him, he has always had problems sleeping - waking up in the middle of the night, getting up at 5:00 am because he can't get back to sleep, and basically living life in a state of semi-exhaustion. In contrast, on this bed, he has slept like a baby, almost overslept for work at 7:00 am, and says he feels rested and wonderful in the mornings. If we could cut the bed in half, we would. So if you are considering the bed...flip a coin?

Happy Sleeper!

I honestly was a little worried about getting this mattress. I never have gotten a mattress from a box before. But I read the reviews and decided to take the plunge. However I must say I love my new mattress. It’s firm but still gives some Cush were you need it. My hips used to ache before with my old mattress. Now I sleep like a baby. Glad I made the change.

Glad we purchased!

Bought this for our son's room/guest room. The bed had an older mattress and he has lived away at college since 2014. After graduating college in May he was home for the summer and realized how bad the old mattress was. We bought this and put on the bed for his Christmas visit. He loved it.

Firm, but air it out before using

Replaced a older sams club memory foam matress that was 10 years old. This one is firmer. So far still a residual rubber plastic smell from matteess. I think the older one aired out in a couple of weeks, almost at a month with this one and i still notice the smell. I would rate it higher, but the chemical smell is annoying.

This bed is FIRM

I'm not sure if it takes time to soften up, but so far, the lack of cushion has been a challenge for my husband and I. We've only had it about a month, so it may need more time, but we also may need to purchase a pillow top cover to give it some cushion. Probably not a good purchase for a side-sleeper.

A Firm Mattress

18 years ago we bought a similar mattress from Sam's Club and were extremely satisfied with. it. This one we have not liked as well. 1. It took longer to fluff out, so we had several nights of sleeping on "wierdness" while we waited on this to happen. However, it did fluff out as predicted. 2. It is extremely firm. Much more so than our last mattress. I liked it, but it hurt my wife's back. Se solved this by buying a mattress topper. I feel that it is a good quality mattress if you like firmness. Now that we have the topper, it is great.

like the firmness and feels relaxed and refreshed

I bought thsi for our son's bed to replace a matress that was a hand me down (20yrs old) He says it it very good to sleep on and likes the firmness but softness that it gives him when sleeping. He says he sleeps in one spot now and doesn't toss and turn. I'm glad he really likes it

Mattress with no documentation

In store, presale ,the mattress was in a wheeled box with a handle for easy handling. I ordered on line and it was to be delivered i 3 weeks. the next week it was delivered in a non wheeled box. I flipped the box end to end like a workout video of a body builder flipping tractor tires up a stairs to my bedroom. No instructions on or in the box of how to unpack it, care for it or the warranty. We pulled it out of the box and carefully cut the plastic bag and it inflated... fully after 4 hours. No care instructions in the box. Sams referred me to Serta. Serta said Sams has the instructions. Sams sent me back to Serta. Serta said Elite Comfort Solutions ( the subcontractor that makes and ships the mattress) may be able to email me care instructions and warranty. No response from them. The mattress is firm and after a week developed swales on each side we sleep on.
