We're so sorry that happened to you. Make sure that the yellow dots on the nozzle are completely lined up to form a circle. The yellow circle must be lined up exactly in order for the trigger to spray. If the yellow circle is off, even by a little bit, it can permanently damage the trigger. We're sorry to hear you aren't having the expected experience and want to assure you that we have many quality checks to ensure the PowerWash works with ease. We recommend making sure the trigger is unlocked. The product should be in the locked position on store shelves. There is a cutout in the white plastic that shows a yellow marking at the top of the sprayer. The tip of the nozzle also has a cutout. When those cutouts are matched up and the yellow shape is completed, then it is unlocked. When the cutouts are not matched up and the yellow shape is incomplete, it is in a locked position. To unlock the nozzle simply grasp the tip of the nozzle and turn to match up the cutouts. Once unlocked and ready to spray, ensure to pull the trigger firmly and all the way for a full spray. TCHB, We're very sorry you had that experience. We haven't tested Dawn Powerwash to be used on granite. If you have a granite sink, you should be extremely cautious to prevent overspray from landing in the sink. Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray is intended for use on dishes that you typically wash by hand with traditional dish soap! This includes plates, bowl, serving dishes, glasses, utensils, cooking pots and pans, casserole dishes, and more. It is safe for use on enamel, ceramic, and stainless steel, and is not recommended for marble, untreated wood, or Formica. Also, like traditional dish soap, Dawn Powerwash Dish spray is not recommended for cast iron cookware. It has not been tested for use on alternative items like clothing.
