The cheaper Black and Decker I bought to replace my expensive Braun that I liked , had a terrible pour spout. I couldn't pour a cup of coffee or fill it with water from the pot without making a mess all over. This Capresso said it had a drip free spout AND IT DOES !!! Love it !!

This machine does everything well that a coffee maker should do. It has a basket insert that replaces paper coffee filters. It has a clock, and can be programmed to make coffee when you want it. The coffee flavor is superior to my pod machine and there is a strength bottom too!

The main feature I would like to see improved is the back light on the clock. When any of the buttons on the front are pushed, the clock lights up blue. A few seconds later, the blue light goes out. The clock display is large, so no problem hoping you set it correctly. I prefer to use paper filters (basket style) instead if the included reusable filter. Has an automatic two hour shut off. (Would like to have another hour added.) In order to get 8 cups of coffee you have to pour 9 cups water into reservoir. Makes a good cup of coffee and stays fairly hot. Has a low profile so it fits nicely under a counter.

This Capresso Coffee Maker replaced my two cup coffee maker. I love having a whole pot full and the best feature regarding this Capresso is you have a choice for the strength of your coffee. It works really fast and keeps coffee hot for a long periof of time. The size is unique because the overall size is shorter and fits under cabinet well but the pot still holds 12 cups. I'm really glad I purchased the Capresso SG220 Coffee Maker.

Great coffee maker. Has great features and works well. It's awesome that you don't have to buy filters for this coffee maker. And you can set the strength.

like the feature for smaller portions 4-6 cups. Holds the grounds a little longer to enhance flavor. Usually find this on the more expensive coffee makers. Well worth the Sam's club price

Other than the instructions for coffee ground holder is a little confusing this coffee maker is simpme to use. Makes great tasting coffee. I prefer to use paper filters though as this prevents residue getting into the coffee.

This would have been a five star coffee maker had it not been for its cheaply constructed filter holder which spring-held housing and plug falls out if you even look at it funny. I wouldn't dare place this in a dishwasher, lest you need to replace it entirely. Beware, cleanse the filter holder very gingerly, or you'll have to filter the grounds through a sock. Also, I would suggest you set the brew strength position on if you want a decent coffee brew. Otherwise, this is a great coffee maker for the price.

I really like this coffee maker. I have to minor issues with it. First, when I opened the box, there were two instruction pamphlets, neither one of them in English. Not a big deal I can pretty much figure things out on my own. The other minor issue is the auto function. I am unable to set it for anything other than on the hour. In other words, I cannot set it for 6:15am, 7:20am, etc. Other than those two issues, I really like this coffee maker

Works well but the carafe is shaped in a way that makes it almost impossible to pour from a full pitcher without spilling some. I have had several coffee makers and never encountered this problem. Obviously the designer never used it.
